Thus, Mass Effect 3 will be much more like the streamlined shooter Mass Effect 2 (XBox 360 version) regardless of what you or I say, because Microsoft and Electronic Arts said so.

And you don't forget to vote for whomever the media and the polls tell you. Beats having an own opinion, doesn't it.

Use bought and paid for reveiws as your counter point, I notice you dont use ANY reveiws by those that didnt get free stuff from Bioware and reveiwed the game as gamers who actually play the games!

Oh thats right, all those reveiws were bad! How silly of me, we all suppose to act like they dont exist as they far more plentiful then the good reveiws!

God I hate 13 year old trolls

PS: The mass majority have had negative opionons on the game.

Unlike mister 13 year old I quoted, you can do your own homework OP and visit multiple websites (starting with this very one as you obviously noticed and made the thread about) and they all mostly negative. Not to the point people wont play the game once but it doesnt stack up to its original game.

Oh wow you again, it seems that anybody that prefers ME2 over ME1 and actually can prove that people prefer ME2 over ME1 are 13 year old trolls. Wow oh wow.

If you mean the "mass majority" had negative opinios on the game as in the "vocal minority" then yes, you are right considering the amount of praise is see this game has been getting in countless other forums by end users.

The reviews are opinions. The FACT, however, is that ME2 has as many positive reviews from non-paid fans as it does from paid reviwers. The point was made as a counterpoint to the assertion that scores don't matter because reviewers are paid.

The fan votes demonstrate the popularity of ME2 from the point of view of the unpaid masses.

However, I am not here to argue the relevance of the reviews/scores themselves. Everyone knows that popularity does not mean quality. Inversely, unpopular does also not necessarily mean quality.

Well, I'm not going to review this one way or another, but I get the feeling that the more of the people with negative things to say about ME2 are going to post on the website about it than people who really enjoyed it. There's plenty of both on the site now, but if they have a beef with the game they're more likely to start a thread about exactly WHY ME2 is inferior to ME1 (which had 0 flaws that can't be overlooked) than a very content fan is to start a thread about why Mass Effects 1 & 2 are great.

That's got to be partially because anyone who hated ME1 altogether probably won't have signed up on the website, and also because unless they have some advice or critique about the game, they probably don't feel the need to get on the forums. (Unless they're looking for SEXY ALIEN FANART)

There are exceptions to this certainly (so don't feel the need to tell me you are one), but all my friends that have played Mass Effect 2 really liked it, and they didn't sign up on the website. Until I got on the Bioware Social Netowork, I had no idea the Mass Effect franchise was ruined forever.

Only if it is by the public really. If it is an offical one then many pro game reviews are involved and the game is disected and every element of the game is examened and they make their judgement of the game. That is why all criticle views tend to be near each other.

I enjoy the game immensely, my wife enjoys it too, though she's not much a shooter - more of an RPGer. The difficulty settings allows you to enjoy the game as you sit fit however. So I'm fine with me playing on insanity, while she plays on normal. And in DA, I play on normal, she plays on Nightmare.

I wouldn't call this a complete shooter. I think of it more of a RPS (Role Playing Shooter only one other game I know like it is gurilla warefare).

I love this game wonderful work they did. Loved it when I first got mass effect 1 and was amazed with how advanced this move like rpsg was. I give it a 9.0 persinally and I gave mass effect 1 a 9.5 for that time period in gameing there was nothing like it.
