its a little hard compare dragon age to mass effect, they're two different genres... It all depends on what universe you prefer.

All I'm asking for is a recommendation based on which books people enjoyed more. =(

I've read both ME books and one Dragon Age book.
But like JRC said, you cannot compare them. If you prefer to read fantasy, go for the DA books. If you prefer sci-fi, go for the ME books.
Personally, I enjoyed the Mass Effect books more. They're more relevant to the game IMHO, whereas a lot of The Stolen Throne applies only to Loghain and bits you hear in passing. I won't spoil it but it's very good for helping you understand some characters.

As far as I'm concerned these books are mediocore (both universes). But it depends what are you looking for - some uninvolving fun or something deeper?
