A stamina bonus? First, a mage doesn't even have stamina to begin with, secondly only mages can equip this staff anyways. Probably some wrong digit in the database entry that makes it stamina instead of mana? I can't explain that otherwise. It also doesn't add mana if you equip it, so it's not a "spelling" error.
So, do I overlook something here or am I probably right?
