Is this game worth getting for PC or Xbox?

If you have a choice get the PC version. It runs smoother from what I heard, and hey, patches. Whether or not the game is worth buying I can't say, having never played it.

I heard some good things about it. Actually, most of the reviews were average to slightly above average. It's too bad though. I enjoyed Divine Divinity a great deal. Beyond Divinity, not as much, but it was a good game. Each successive sequel seems worse than the last.

I wonder how it sold? Well enough to warrant an expansion, at least.

Its ok, although I cant be bothered t finish it. At the start it was difficult, then it suddenly becomes stupidly easy all at once. There is very little character development, and what the is of it is sub-par to say the least.

I might wait for it to come down in price, then. I'm half interested, although I've not played the two Divinity games before it.

I liked Divine Divinity, but I never finished it since it just kept on crashing on me.



Divinity II is a decent game, combat mostly consists of clicking like a maniac until everything is dead (or breathing fire when you are a dragon).

What bothers me is that it never runs smoothly for me, always being laggy when I move.

I played it.



I enjoyed the gameplay well enough with my dual-wielding warrioress, but I felt the storyline and setting were pretty stupid, and that the big selling point of the game of being a dragon was -dramatically- underutilized.



Once I realized what the ending was, I quit the game in disgust.

It has nothing to do with th previus games really.  I suppose the story is supposed to be linked but it is so porly written that it doesn;t matter.


Divine Divinity was really fun fr its ra, one of the best diabo clons ut thee IMHO.   Beyond Divinity was one of the worst ames I have ever played.

I tried to play Beyond Divinity. Really. I did. I was hard up for an RPG at the time. The voice acting.. oh god the voice acting... *sob*

I must have an incredible tolerance for bad games because I finished it, and didn't really loathe the experience. I've finished way worse games during my console days, really. >.<

Probably some of the worst voice acting in any game ever....the trrible scripting didn't help.

The only part of that game that was even remotely ausing was trying to open the bathroom door near the begining and hearing OOCuUUuuppiiIEEED!!!!

Divine Divinity bases more of its gameplay on the Ultima series than diablo. I mean, you can take honey from bee hives and use it to make glazed bread.



As for Divinity 2, it's a good game. Not a great game, but a good one. I'd suggest waiting until the xpac comes out in Fall before picking it up though unless you want a headbutt a kitten moment.

It's a great game, but badly balanced. The game uses damage scaling, so if one happens to miss an area and come back several levels later, one wades through legions of enemies without taking damage... including bosses. And if one enters certain areas too early, one might get killed in one or two hits by a goblin.



But it's worth playing for the fantastic music, witty dialogue & quirky easter eggs alone.
