I've installed ME2, downloaded the Blood Armour and several other downloads, and started the game. But I need some help, and can't post on the official forums because I am unable to register my game.
I go into my user profile and select Mass Effect2 for PC, and enter the code that came with the game, but I get an error message stating that this is the incorrect code, or some such nonsense.
It has to be the correct code, because that is the code I used to install the game, for heaven's sake!!!!!!
So, could someone please tell me, under these circumstances, how to register my perfectly legal game so that I can post on the official forums?
Unable to register game because legit code is not recognized

Same problem here.
Have tried registering it with different browsers as well, got some problems with chrome on other websites, but still not working. Code has to be legit because the game is working fine and all my DLCs check out as well.

I got the same problem with both games(ME2 and DA:O).
And when I want to add Bioware Points for PC they ask me to confirm my password.
I do and then: "The login details you provided were invalid. Please try again."
What the hell is wrong with this network?

And notice how fast the forum officials are rushing to our aid.
I had the same kinds of issue with Dragon Age - and all of my attempts to get help were ignored. In the end other forum users gave me the solutions, but it took over a month for me to get everything fully functional.

Same here, bought the game from the gamestop online store and it doesn't allow me to register, no did it give me any codes. Game installed fine, just can't actually use it to its potential, making me why I bothered to spend the cash on it at all.

Same with social, not being able to register my collectors edition of ME2.
Where is the help in these tech SUPPORT forums? I haven't seen a lick of help with anything other than fan made solutions. Go Bioware! Keep breaking them and ignoring that you broke anything.

Just installed Mass Effect 2 Collector's Edition for PC today. Product Key worked fine. Cerrberus Network sign on worked fine (even though I also have another Cerberus Network activation used for my 360 version of the game using this same account - no problems there either), downloaded all the DLC, installed it, then started a playthrough. All worked brilliantly and without a hitch.
Then I try to register the game here. Two different computers, four different browsers, all different combinations of entering the key code (with and without dashes, using caps and not). All have been FAIL. Waited in the queue for live chat with EA support. Text chatted with a fine person who either has a poor grasp of English or they have more crumbs in their keyboard than even I do (not possible!). After several inadequate suggestions, they told me the site (social.bioware.com) must be having an issue and to try again later. Greaaaat.
Hello? Social.bioware.com? Are you there?
Heh - I agree with a previous post - I've never really wanted to register a game before.. until now that I CAN'T
Would you be willing to share those solutions? I've plowed through a lot of threads in this forum, and the other Bioware site forum with no luck. I've found plenty of threads on the subject, but none with answers.

Looking around the forum and gathering information about people with this problem has led me to the following conclusion. people with retail and steam copy's who get the "Code is not valid for game" error will eventually be able to register.
The unique serial keys are (must be) time-locked. An official confirmation or denial in this is the case would be nice. But i highly doubt there will be one.

Same problem here. Bought the retail version of the Collector's Edition and installed it yesterday. I also tried to register the game yesterday and today, but no luck. Could it be related to the release of the Dragon Age expansion pack? Maybe the registration server is overloaded with requests.
The codes for DLC and the Cerberus Network all work fine, by the way.
