I cannot register on the bioware website either. I have the steam version and I have tried all 3 of the CD keys that were given to me (Promo key, Cerberus key, Game key)... none of them work.

And I wanted to post in a trailer competition thread. :(

Apparently my registration for ME2 CE PC worked. Just tried it. I guess you do have to catch the site at just the right time - ?

I've successfully registered now as well. Seemed to be a server glitch.

I've run in to similar difficulty, although with me my registration stopped working right after I finished downloading the Firewalker DLC. Thing was working fine until that point and I'd been playing since day one. Have we had any confirmation about what on earth is going on?

I'm in the situation of having previously registered the game and cerberus network. When I start up ME2 the cerberus network connects but I am unable to access the downloads. I haven't played for about one month but installed all the launch dlc + up to the cerberus armor during my first 2 playthroughs.

It is now showing in my profile that I do not have ME2 registered and an attempt to reregister gives me an invalid code error.

This is frustrating as the previous DLC I have in the game is fine (Zaeed is there for example) but there is no way for me to get firewalker. Any help is appreciated.

Could it be related to the release of the Dragon Age expansion pack?
Maybe the registration server is overloaded with requests.
The codes for DLC and the Cerberus Network all work fine, by the way.

Highly doubtful these two are related.

Lets break the problem down into manageable parameters. We know there are multiple people who have this problem. mostly Steam users and users with new retail versions with extra game content.

steam users who download the game receive a unique serial key upon purchase. This unique serial key used to enable installation is based on a fixed algorithm that is encoded within Mass effect 2. Each new key is generated using that algorithm in the same manner you would generate a new serial key with say... an illicit key generator.

The rest of the problem is sheer deduction.

"Why has there been no official response?"
:If the problem is going to fix itself why bother

Exactly the same situation as me.

I'm doing a useless attempt at uninstall/reinstall.  Let's see if that changes anything.
