The bottomline is, it won't make any sense if you're Japanese, or in my case, speak it. Does it make Kasumi less awsome as a character? Not neccerily. Is it strange that a company like Bioware will come up with such a less-than-authentic name for a Japanese character they created and expect people to pay for? Seemingly so.

I'm merely pointing out a fact, if you don't agree and don't have anything nice to say or even a formed opinion, shut your hole.

Rest assured, that sooner or later some prev who happens to posses the required skills will make a picture of Kasumi playing with herself, or maybe a drawing of Shepard pounding her colon. Remember about rule 34.

I'm pretty sure Bioware's intention was the "thief/robber" translation, concidering that is what she is.

Just type "Tali" (with SafeSearch set to 'off') in google image search and you'll see where those ideas are from. And no, I wasn't deliberately looking for Tali's nude pics if you're already thinking about it.

I cant believe no one understood her name. Just a bit of google and logic. Although, my Nihongo knowledge helped me a lot.
Kasumi Goto, can be broken to Kasu Migoto=> Kasu=to lend(probably euphemistic/sarcastic way to describe theft) and Migoto=Beautiful, Splendind. Overal,l rough translation would be Beautiful Lender
