Vagabond/Gypsy
Pariah
Slave
Orphan with sibling
I think those have some potential for very touching origins.

In 60 years it isn't even the Dragon Age anymore, so the game could hardly be called Dragon Age 2 (unless the Chantry gets unimaginative and call the next age The Second Dragon Age or some equivalent).spottyblanket wrote...
Yeah but if the game was set quite a few years after, as in...historically, a few thousand years then that wouldn't be possible.

I hope that they do not include any kind of origin stories. That way they can make one character the focus of the story and have all conversations fully voiced, that was my only big issue with DA:O.

Antivian crows and dragon cult origins would be so amazing.
A blood mage cult or qunari merchenary could be great as well.

Yes please. Simple, but necessary. Absolutely necessary. Really? Yes, really.
I kind of missed a human commoner option in Origins and being forced to play a Noble... well, I didn't like the whole 'being forced' part. And an apostate mage, that would just be amazing. Don't get me wrong, the Circle is lovely and all... but being an apostate would have it's charms.
I'm already a big maleficar anyway. I'm already leeching off people's health, bringing corpses back to life to serve me as trustworthy minions, dabbling in blood magic and sending masses to sleep and potentially exposing them to untold horrors... on the off note: I do throw around a heal every now and then when I feel like it.

forum is doing really well lots of people posting, i agree with Socratez83 would love to see a quanari origin as thats a new race to customize and loads of other stuff only that quanaris could use (use extreme heavy armor or humongous swords and hammer)

I'm hoping for a male prostitue origin, if I don't get that I would be happy with vault dweller.

Plenty IMO. Fereldens continued independance from Orlais, dwarves trying to reclaim former thaigs, dwarves warring against the surface to capture souls for the anvil, mages going to war against the chantry, dhalish versus human tensions, alienage uprisings, the return of flemeth...Behindyounow wrote...
Oh yeah, I forgot the Qunari invasion. Aside from that and Morrigan's child, what sequel hooks are there?

A proper ending movie, the possibility to import your character from DA:O,the choice to continue fullfiling side quests after completing the game. The appearance of new races, the opportunity to meet at least once in the game your former companions, and finaly, answers to the questions that the sudden ending of DA:O left ananswered. Some ideas for new races mentioned by other guys in the forum until now are also great.

I'd also like to stick with my original character rather than have to begin with a new one....
At least he'll be at a high level and I'll know the skills and abilities he has because they are what I wanted for him...
Besides if they have the morrigan and child storyline for DAO:2 then my character plays a huge role since he's the daddy....
And if they choose not to have that storyline at least I'm still playing a powerful character that I like

Is it just me or would it not make any sense whatsoever to make Morrigan's baby playable? The kid has the soul of an old god, which would force a certain way of interaction from the brat...
But to be completely honest, I doubt a DA:2 will ever come out considering the fact that the Dragon Age ends after a couple of decades. What will happen is a couple of extra expansions that will allow more new "origins" like the Orlesian warden in Awakening. And of course make your characters importable...
edit: I just noticed the "02.01.2011" thing on one of the papers in the box I got for Awakening, forget I said anything about no DA2...

Personally I want to play as Morrigan's dragon babe and either save the world or burn it down, but no I think they will be a companion like Alistair: the story will revolve around them and it's your job to help them along in their destiny so to speak. Or the baby will grow up to become the arch nemesis of the PC, I doubt that though, I think it's more likely the dragon child will pull a brother Martin from Oblivion....
And.. I don't think there's going to be 'origins' this time around just because that's the main hook for DAO, either you continue as your own older warden or you can pick from 2 or 3 origins only. IF they are origins I want to see:

I think the Morrigan's baby plot depends on how many years later DA 2 will take place. Though it would be funny to play as a toddler with super powers blowing up crap. I can understand why it might not follow up on the first directly, since some of our characters made "the ultimate sacrifice" and the story might not quite match up. It will likely be the same situation as with Awakenings. I'm sure we'll see a new a new slew of characters for NPCs, maybe a few cameos from DA 1.
