Ok, so I'm trying to get the Blackblade Armor for my rogue, but I can't find the boots and gloves.  I have done the 'search the entire silverite mine using your radial menu every few feet' thing, nothing.  Tried killing the High Dragon in Dragon Bone Waists (27 times) and it won't drop any loot.  Can someone please help me with this??  Has anyone actually found the boots and the gloves?  Can anyone confirm it for PS3 or was this something that got left out on accedent also?

I couldnt find those pieces either! Searched high and low, and thats the nicest looking armor in the expansion I think..
oh and I am pc player.

So I'm asuming that, based on what I've read almost everywhere, the Blackblade Armor boots and gloves are not in game at all. Is there a BioWare person (Victor, Chris *knock knock*??) who can tell me if this is a bug, a glitch, or something that was forgotten?

The high dragon seems to be bugged, apparently on all platforms. There are many threads on this, and nobody seems to have seen the gloves/boots from the High Dragon. (I think one person got one piece randomly from one of the dragon thralls at the end of the silver mines, but they're both meant to be on the High Dragon according to the guide.)

Gloves and boots: You have to search the entire silverite mine using your radial screen every few feet to locate chests with the boots and gloves in them. These can also be looted from High Dragon in Dragon Bone wastes, they are classified as a rare drop though- and the chances are rather slim. It's best to get them in the mines.

People please stop coping and pasting that. I did that last night for 3 hours. If you have done this yourself, please tell me what rooms you found it in. If not, please stop, this is not helpful. Just because the Wiki says something does not make it true.
Edit: Sorry I don't mean to sound rude or ungreatful for the attempted help.  The frustrationg thing is, that once you leave the mines, you can't go back in.  So right now I can't play Awakening at all just in case these pieces are in the mines.  Just frustrated by all the bugginess of this game.  It stinks when you are really happy with a game, I mean REALLY happy, and then crap like this happens and ruins everything.

Based on the person saying they found it on one of the dragon thralls, I have just spent about an hour killing them over and over again, but I keep getting the same loot - Shock Treatment gloves from one and the Slippery Ferret's Gloves + a Landsmeet Shield from the other. Now, seeing as the Ferret's gloves match the Blackblade armour visually, this leads me to believe that the person was mistaken in their claim...

if you are looking for dragon bones go to the queen of the blackmarsh (where you fought her) and there should be a bone.

It is the circlular menu that comes up when you press L2 on the PS3, I think XboX is the same, not sure how you get there on computer.

Felon's Coat does not get replaced without this armor. A little disappointing to have mismatched Helm and no armor and gloves cause you can't get them.

Tell me about it, and the sad part is no one actually knows if the gloves and boots exsist at all.  No one is saying either way.  Some people say do this and you'll find them, but never actually confirm if they have them or not.  Someone, anyone, please confirm.  Or BioWare, find out what's up.  I know, I know, 'there's better stuff in the game,' or 'why are you bothering, you can get better stuff?'  I'm using a low fatigue rogue, so this armor is PERFECT.  Also I just want it.

I'm wearing a hodge-podge of armor on my rogue now because it is far better statwise than wade's superior drakeskin armor.  However, my stamina/fatique is now pretty gimped so I'm actually pumping attribute points into willpower to make up for it which is obviously sad.  However, I'm not going to sit around waiting for a bugfix for Awakenings to finish it on my main-main.  I'm eager to play through on the other characters that I've completed Origins on.

And, at the end of the day, the game is easy enough on nightmare that you don't need pimped armor on a rogue to win every battle without wiping.  So, I have to let the perfectionist in me die a little bit... so be it.

Me too, I've got the breast plate (Blackblade Tunic) and the Helm.

And just something I find funny, even the BioWare's "Tome of Knowledge" has no info on the gloves or boots. They don't even have a picture of the full set. Just the Tunic and Helm. New question, forget the 'where are they' and replace it with 'do they even exsist?' If BioWare doesn't have info on them, who does??

The high dragon is supposed to drop the gloves and the boots? Jeez...what's the point of that? You get to wear them for like what? 5 minutes?



Anyway, I'm a bit disappointed that this armor is no way near as good as the Felon's coat(stat wise).

Its actually better, if you could get the whole set...... according to the Prima guide, however I don't know how they got the stats for the whole set....

That's the thing, nobody knows if it is a bug, they got left out, or they don't exsist at all.

I'm pretty sure they don't exist in game, much like many other missing set pieces in Awakening.



I have a tendency to search high and low for everything, everywhere. I missed almost nothing my first play through on DA:O without any help from any guides. The Blackblade pieces are missing, in all probability due to the bugged/unlootable dragon. There are no "hidden" chests in the mines to the best of my knowledge.



Awakening is way more buggy than DA:O, not a shocker than they're missing, but there are some other really good pieces for hands/boots
