I was wondering what everyone's opinion on this was.  Right now, my infiltrator has been 80% sniper, sometimes sneaking in with the submachine gun.  Sneaking in works sometimes, but too often the baddie doesn't die immediately, making for far too much uplanned excitement.  I was thinking the Claymore might have enough "oomph" to make that a more viable "one shot".  Or should I just get the assault rifle for utilitarian purposes?

Haven't gotten to the collector ship yet, but wanted to have my decision made ahead of time.

Pretty sure you can't get claymore as Infiltrator.With the widow you can take out all normal mobs with 1 shot, tougher enemies with 2.



You already get the tempest, so no need to get AR imo.

Oh right, I'm still using the Shuriken. The Tempest will probably satisfy me. And Dyrebar's right, I just googled it and the Claymore is only for soldiers and vanguards. The Widow looks fun (I've never had Legion long enough to really play with it before).



Enjoying the infiltrator so far (my first playthrough with one). A bit weird doing it right after a vanguard-- completely different playing style!

Infiltrator should ALWAYS choose Widow.

If you are just trying something new then the Shotgun is pretty fun to cloak up to someone, put the barrel in their mouth and pull the trigger. This works especially well if you kill off your squad on purpose, then the enemies don't even move while you're stealthing around. One shot of the eviscerator point blank in the head will kill almost all bipeds except for Krogans or those with 3 layers of defenses. This is not as fast or effective as the Widow but it is a lot of fun.

Widow, if you want to pick assault rifle or shotgun on insanity, you're likely playing the wrong class .

Thanks again for the advice-- just did the collector ship mission and it's awesomesauce. Warp ammo plus Widow plus +50% headshot damage equals a Harbinger who shuts up pretty darned quick. "I know this huuuuurts you, Shep---urk!"
