3 min missions of pointless hovering over yellow marks to get money or minerals (lol) and mindless run and gun whatever little enemies are there.

That's what the Mako was.

We didn't have to get our hopes up for the mako seeing as how it was INCLUDED in ME1

Is there a bug in the DLC or am I just an idiot for not figuring out how to operate the tank? When I get to the little yellow marker, a thing comes up saying to press right mouse button and hold it to collect the research. However, when I press the right mouse button, nothing happens.....

But they were +20-+30 mins, and not all, but some of them were atleast some what ME related

Like I said in the main post about it, I love the look and controls of the hammerhead, but the missions left me feeling like a fat kid taken to and Icecream shop and only allowed to have 1 scoop of vanilla Icecream without sprikles.

Well, I didn't expect much, but I'm still underwhelmed. It feels like I'm just driving some toy around through a tunnel. There is pretty much zero exploration, it's all strictly linear. I've not finished the last mission yet, but I fail to see the point of it all. To me, it doesn't add much, the whole concept feels tagged on.

Oh yea, and of course, way to go QA. I laugh at faulty key binding instructions... :D

People have been asking about a Shep helm toggle since launch. If they patched in a new Garrus skin (fanfare), then they clearly read this stuff. How hard is a helmet toggle to put in? Why did an alt appearance pack come before this? Why did they make the HH feel like it was on rails and confined to a small space?

and most importantly, WHY do developers ignore feedback threads where people often (at least at first) offer CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, yet reply to irrelevant ones.

Now that I think of the part for Alt Costumes, I completely agree and actually a lot more upset that this actually happened.

Last sentence I agree also. I think they're just scared to agree with our criticism, knowing they sometimes have no reasonable excuse or just can't find one.

You can press and hold the right mouse button till the end of time if you want, it won't do anything except zoom the camera in and out on the hammerhead.  The default key assigned to this action is the V key, so it is the V key you need to hold down till it has finished scanning/mining.  The default jump key is also wrong it isn't the shift key it is the E key (nice quality control BIoware).

@EternalWolf

I agree 100% with your post on page 10 and would only add that the lack of combat outside of the nodes are the only real complaint I have with Hammerhead.

I also liked the vacuum scanning. It was entertaining to watch.

True, but most of it was just running around a barren world.  What the Hammerhead has is basically what the Mako had, just without the exploration.  As I mentioned in my review on the last page, it reminded me most of the mako sections of the story missions in ME1 - although I'm not sure how long those actually were.  Less empty space between the action, mostly.

Frankly Mimai stop with the damn complaining about complainers, and either get on topic or leave. The mod in the opening few pages said they're not going to tolerate that crap.

I'm not complaining about complainers. I'm just saying people should be a little more explanative about why they were disappointed, and they are for the most part. No need to get hostile and vulgar, chum, pal, friend, mate, bro, buddy, girlfriend.

Bioware just doesn't do dlc very well. Dragon age awakening was alright but way overpriced ($40 was a total rip off) for what you got. It just seems like they don't know which direction to take dlc and how much to charge. I mean 160 microsoft points for three outfits? Should have been a free cerberus download . And the dlc in question, well it was free so no harm to my wallet . But bioware if you want people to pay for your dlc you better start making something worthwhile and figure out how to price it. Take a page from bethesda and gearbox , great lengthy dlc at a reasonable price.

I don't really have a problem with the vacuum scanning, I just don't understand stand it.  I can't pick up whatever I'm picking up without dancing around the circle like a maniac?  No precision tools for gathering data?  Just unexplained weirdness.

It is entertaining to watch, though.Image IPB

You did sidetrack and were complaining about complainers, but you did also say what you just said, afterwards. But it's all good^_^

I wasn't disappointed at all. Firing homing missiles against stationary targets... awesome. Really lets you focus on fighting the terrain, which was also awesome.

Bethesda does make good DLC but the damn things are so glitchy and bugged, it's almost unplayable. Sometimes the DLC works when it wants to

That's what I figured out....the key bindings that BioWare suggested were ****ed up because they were different than what was being displayed on-screen. All I had to do was go into the Controls menu and reset them to their default settings and all is now well again.

Okay, I guess my first post leaned a little toward "complaining about complainers," but in a way I was. Complaining about complainers, not people actually giving input instead of "it sucked," "sad excuse for DLC," "I don't like it, boo." Which is nothing more than looking the gift horse in the mouth, and then spitting in it.

I just noticed something after installing the Firewalker mission pack;

In the main menu screen, my "new content available" option is now gone. Is this a bug? Anybody else experiencing this with the PC version?

The Hammerhead DLC's basically five new N7 type missions, so silent shore party - so no dialogue or commentary.
It's a self contained mini story that's very lightly tethered to the main plot. The Hammerhead is no Mako. You get to see burnt out Mako wrecks in the final mission though!
I'd say around 45 minutes for the actual content and about 45 minutes for the people that think stripmining planets into Depleted status is "strangely addictive".

The tank handles fine - and is slightly more interesting then the Mako. The combat is even simpler then the Mako because you only have one weapon and it auto-aims. Combat felt easy but I only did this content on Veteran difficulty.
The visual are on par with any N7 mission; the ice planet was nicely done with the visual effects on the hammerhead and the volcano locale actually had nice special effects - especially in the end.

Had hoped the DLC's story had a bit more consequence for the Mass Effect trilogy but I'd say the DLC's fine.

Um, it's gone because there's no new content available. You know... because you already installed it...

None of the Mako missions were related to the main questline.

Imagine if you bought ME2 second hand; I couldn´t see myself spending 1200points for the Ceberus Code. I buy originals on release day anyway because I collect them but I can´t see this Project Ten Dollar causing much jelousy among th 2nd Hand buyers if this is what you get.
