I hear it's about 1h 30 min of gameplay, which is not bad imo. Really excited about it really

Not displaying the correct key bindings during the tutorial is a pretty big blunder too. You can just look up the correct ones yourself but it still shouldn't have happened.
I did like the way it handled. Give some open worlds to mess around in and it could be fun.

a lot of fanboys will get mad of course, but Bioware did a decent job. I mean it was free and all so don't expect 3-4 hours of entire gameplay

The vehicle itself could use a bit of work. Primarily, that would include the addition of an autocannon-type secondary weapon and changes to the mass accelerator cannon, notably no more tracking! It looks, walks and talks like a cannon, not a missile launcher! :huh:Also, maybe kinetic barriers, as well. It seemed way too fragile for a heavy support vehicle. The handling and movement utilities are good, in my opinion, though I believe they could use a bit of fine-tuning.
The missions, while keeping to the standard N7 outline, are not what one should expect from a DLC, whether it's free or not. <_< The time-length of the mission was fine to me, since blitzing doesn't appeal to me. However, the fact there's only 5 such mission makes it wholly unappealing. I now have this predatory-looking beast of a pinball sitting in my hanger with nothing for it to do.
But, this is my opinion and I am only a lowly consumer.

Hopefully, Bioware has more missions planned that involve using the Hammerhead tank.

The missions themselves were very varied. Each mission used the vehicle's mechanics differently in really fun ways. The new vehicle handled like a dream, what an upgrade from the original Mako! So mission accomplished, Bioware. I would love to see some more vehicle missions as DLC or in the finale.
My only complaint is that the whole DLC package felt a bit quiet. It lacked character. It didn't affect the gameplay negatively or anything like that, but it did make the experience as a whole feel a bit lacking. A little squad banter would have been great. It would have been awesome to hear Tali complain about my horrible
controlling of the vehicle. If Mass Effect 2's (squad member) actors aren't available to perform for DLC, it would be nice to have new characters to have some banter with I perked up when I finally discovered some audio logs when on foot. A little character audio goes a long way.
Congrats on launching the DLC, Bioware, and thank you for making it free for people who have the Cerberus Network. I'm looking forward to more free stuff and paying for some premium DLC. If you guys make a full on expansion you have my money.

Definitely want more! With the ability to save while in the missions, preferably. That was my other concern.

You obviously haven't been reading the posts.
So BioWare should be known as the company that makes free disappointing DLC?

If particular posts bother you, simply "be the bigger person" and close your browser, or do something else, Just because a certain product might be free, doesn't mean that it's also going to be unfettered by criticism.
In any case, keep the nasty language and insults out of here

- Handled pretty easily and was fun to zoom around.
- The intial story was interesting and the reference to Eden Prime piqued my curiosity.
- Visually it was pretty cool. The scenes with the ground shake/explosions were cool. Gave the impression it was a dangerous area.
- VA was well done, the emotion in his voice made me think something bad was gonna happen.
CONS:
- On foot sections were lack luster.
- No health bar HH or way to do repairs other then hover over icons.
- Giant glowing icons that screamed ''go here'' ruined any sense of exploration.
- Lack of maps.
- No autosave?
- Poor ending. Lack of reward for doing them all.

I was sure I was going to be disappointed with the Hammerhead / Firewalker stuff, but in the end I actually quite like it all. There's a brilliant sense of nostalgia I get from playing these missions, I never realise how much I missed the following from ME1:
- Running over geth destroyers whilst they attempt to fire rockets at you
- Jumping crazily from really high places
- Shooting / strafing at big geth contraptions for far... too... long until they fall over
- The half-baked, slightly unfriendly storytelling-via-text missions (just like uncharted planets on ME1)
- The slightly clumsy feeling to whole Bioware-does-vehicles thing, with the additional feeling that the vehicle must somehow be ripped off from Unreal Tournament...
Ahh.... I love it! (seriously) <3
It's disappointing that the HH stuff isn't more integrated with the game like the Mako was, but this DLC was never going to fix that. Instead, this is a nice little set of mini-adventures that shows us what could have been and makes my copy of ME2 feel complete.
I do wish you could actually get out or had other weapons on it, though.
Absolutely! It was fun.
The only thing that bothered me was the lack of a shield or health bar (seriously, WHY?).
More missions, please.

The amount of credits and resources was so neglible, that the next time I play through ME2, I just simply won't bother with them.
The only possible reward is the Biotic Damage upgrade, which as an Adept, I love the chance to get early, it'll help on Insanity NG+ run throughs

Well, you know... "Hope is the first step in the road to disappointment".
I'm not holding my breath on that one if BioWare's previous DLCs are any indication. Another Shale would be great, but it looks to be another Zaeed. His mission was nice, and the flamethrower proved useful for my Vanguard, if Kasumi's mission is longer than that, then great, but the lack of interaction and recruitment mission are pretty big negatives IMO.

Idk why people say the Shale DLC was great. I honestly didn't think it was. It was cool, but for $15?! No way in hell. Luckily I reserved it and got it day 1
