Also, who reckons that the Prothean artifact will influence something in ME3? Maybe a higer level of Biotic implants or something.
And oh, I just remembered something else to fix - the invisible roof I sometimes crashes into if I jumped high enough. That was really annoying.

I agree with the "Wasted Potential". Could have been so good, but turned out in being fairly mediocre.
Also - why the hell I have to fight against geth when I've "overwritten" all of those heretics a few missions ago?
they resisted the download
they aren't as connected as the others

If there was an explanation why ingame I wouldn't bother. But there is none.
So it seems that this is just a fault.
Anyway, did you noticed that some of the gas giants in the new systems have now visible storms on the surface? That was one thing I found really nice.

I don't get what all the fuss is about. You got what equates to 5 N7 missions and a pretty good time riding around in the Hammerhead for free. Could it have been better? Of course it could have, but for something that cost me nothing I was pleased and had my fun with it. Hopefully now that the vehicle is in there we'll get a much better paid DLC for it with a slew of missions packed with variety and story substance.
WHOA WHOA WHOA! Mr "Rational thinking!" You don't have any place here!
I Agree completely. It was five free N7 missions, a neat run and run, and a rewarding cinematic at the ending. On the whole, this was a great way to spend an hour or so.

This prothean artifact was also in ME1, on a planet ( or atleast a similar one). It turned out to be a "memory storage" or so. I think these things are just platforms the protheans used for data storage, like we have CDs etc.
Still, this geth thing bugs me. I never encountered such a harsh logic issue in ME...
lolwat, there's greater inconsistencies and plot holes IMO but that's another story...
Also did Bioware ever state why this was taken out of the main game?
It was only 5 short missions >.>

They forgot to add subtitles to the dialogue though. Something along the lines of...Before time began, there was the Cube.... Meh. Never mind.

It is kind of fun to drive, and does present some new terrain-related obstacles and situations that ME1's Mako simply wouldn't be able to handle. I do have a few niggles though, and while I realise that this DLC is free and thus complaining might be a bit petty, I want to express my feelings more because I'd like to see the following issues no longer present when ME3 hits if it has the Hammerhead as standard.
* No independent turrent control. You turn and the whole vehicle turns. While its not as crucial as it was with the Mako, it would be nice to just be able to turn the turret. Seems a bit of a step backwards really to have your weapons restricted to forward-facing only now. Particularly from an in-universe standpoint (though that never stopped thermal clips, so... yeah...)
* Absolutely no HUD to indicate damage to the vehicle. Also, does this thing even have shields? Didn't seem to to me, and that's another step backwards too it seems.
* Environments thus far still don't seem as impressive as ME1's. They still feel constrained and level-like rather than true planets.
* Little to no dialogue in the game from anybody (haven't done all the missions yet, mind you, so I might be missing out on something key) but this was already a problem with the existing N7 missions as it was, and while I realise voice-actors cost money and all it would be nice to actually feel like you're more part of this rather than everybody just being quiet about everything all the time.
Other than that, it's alright. The vehicle itself definitely drives better than the Mako, but I felt the original Mako was better implemented into the game than this was.

Pros:
1) The speed of the Hammerhead- The boost function of the Hammerhead gave it a great speed and it was fun to navigate with.
Improvements:
1) Locking System- This is probably the most important thing, have a system where you can lock on to your targets(maximum of two or three) and have the ability to have a charged shot. In the case of the Hammerhead, the charged shot could be two missles per target instead of one target if you shot immediately.
2) Different kinds of missles/Ammo drops- When I saw the barrier and armor pieces on the geth, I immediately though it would be great for the challenge if there was a still an unlimited supply of regular missles, but to add to it, have different ammo drops across the missions for specific type of limited ammo missles.
Fire Missle
Disruptor Missle
Warp Missle
Basically the properties of the in-game ammo of the guns. You have the option to switch between them(the bumpers on the 360 controller can be used for instant switch but please no menu system to switch like with the powers). This will add the same strategy you use when using the guns in the main game.
3) Secondary weapon- A bomb or any kind of weapon that has a good splash but medium damage to enemies. Can be assigned to the B button, and has ammo drops of the secondary weapon as well. This idea came from having the bomb available in games like Star Fox.
4) Dodge or roll option- Again back to Star Fox features. Could be assigned to the X button to do a simple roll or dodge.
5) Health bar for the Hammerhead- The beeping and the flames on the hammerhead were not that helpful, please have a health bar that shows the status of the Hammerhead.
That's all I got, thanks for the continued support Bioware

Very simple : all of these hammerhead missions are supposed to be played BEFORE getting Legion and doing his loyalty mission, just like Kasumi.

Seriously, Bioware? Jumping puzzles?
You give us a vehicle and that's the best you could think to do with it?
No health indicators, no map, no interesting vehicle maneuvers.
Wow. I'm SO glad I didn't pay for this waste of disk space. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more from the crack design team that brought us the carpal tunnel killer planet scanning minigame.
I definitely will NOT be pulling the trigger on any paid ME2 DLC until I have seen some good reviews. I was looking forward to buying the Kasumi DLC on day one, but not any more.
Thing is, I love this game... I've finished all the achievements, I've played through it multiple times to try different things, and it just seems that Bioware is trying to get me to hate it.
Oh, and to the people who are saying "it was free, you can't complain"--it's only free to people who bought the game new. Used game owners or renters who might be thinking about buying this DLC need to know what they're in for.

Amen to that.
-Get dropped from a high altitude. Those shock absorbers must be more high tech then the Normandy.
-Almost climb mountains using nothing but tires.
-Go toe to toe with all Geth ground troops with little concern and take a good chunk of the damage they spew at you.
-Two weapons with a zoom in targeting feature. Both weapons did a good amount of damage. While the Hammerhead cant seem to hit the side of a barn and the missiles seem more on par with the heavy weapons.
-Had a built in BBQ and port-a-potty for lengthy road trips. Well it should have…

Or, perhaps, if I remember correctly, they won't be overwritten until they've reconnected with the main hub.

Sadly it was pretty much just the final vehicle stretch of Ilos from ME1, only with less enemies and minerals. A few enemies inside the volcano/last area after you dismount would have been nice as well.
The vehicle itself was pretty sweet. Hopefully they can incorporate some bring down the sky style DLC centered around the hammerhead.

The thing that bugs me so much about this whole Hammerhead thing is this: It appears that Bioware has absolutely no clue what was so great about exploring in the Mako. The Hammerhead missions are reminiscent of racing games, and sub-par mini games all rolled into one. No on-foot exploration, no meaningful exposition whatsoever, the whole package seems like a complete afterthought, even more so than the iphone game 'mass effect galaxy'
If ME2 was a random action game, this whole thing would be no big deal, it just isn't up to Bioware's incredibly high standards.

And the cool thing about Mass 2 is that they don't punish you for trying to approach it from an action game perspective. as long as you can make it from point A to B then it's fine if you want to not worry about every single enemy on the map.
As far as FREE DLC goes this is probably one of the most robust packs I've ever seen all at once. This is about the length of a Left 4 Dead campaign really. Hell if you look at the entire cerberus network pack as we've had it we've got almost 2 hours of content here between Zaeed, Normandy Crash Site, and Firewalker (varies depending on your skill level and whether you already know the layout of the maps....probably 1-2 hours if you just played all 3 packs back to back. That's more than the length of bring down the sky, and longer than L4D's Crash Course campaign. And this isn't even the paid **** here.)
I kinda wanna make a save that allows me to just replay the hammerhead missions it's that cool to play. I do hope they add some customization to the hammerhead down the line though as it'd be nice to be able to bring different cannons and equipment down on the tank with you. The thing is fast and fun and it really gives that "at war with the geth" feeling that alot of Mass Effect 1's better Mako sections gave us.
