Op, numbers tend to mean something. You should have made a poll.
What's stopping you from doing so?

BioWare: You are better than this.
Why do people play BioWare games: Story, characters, choices, dialog. There is about 1% of story in this DLC. That's it. Nearly everything we love about BioWare games is not in this DLC.
When Mass Effect was released you guys talked about the universe being a constantly expanding one with DLC. When I heard that lame linear levels with Wipeout racing was perhaps the furthest thing from my mind. What happen to exploring new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilisations, boldly going where no woman (in Shepard's case) has gone before?
Come on. Bring back ME1 exploration but make it better. That was one of the things I was excited about how ME2 would improve - you didn't. You cut it out. Such wasted potential. There should be uncharted worlds with aliens to talk to, missions to do and things to discover.

They are testing the waters. That's all. BioWare said "Pool!" and a lot of people put on their swimming trunks, got their favorite ducky inner tubes, some of us are indeed in our floaties... and we all charged to the pool. Only to find out it's ankle deep.
That's ok. They can see we're all at the pool and we're like.... MORE WATER, PLZ! :-D
So, disappointment, yes. Expectations of more? Yes. There will be a price next time, but I'm fine with that.
TANSTAAFL, baby.
As for your "pool" refrence most people understand that for people to have fun in a pool it needs to be more then ankle deep. BW Should know what we want by now in a mission.

But from the tone of the forums, I'm not exactly expecting to be thrilled.

His idea, mod specifically left his topic to vent the flaming that could insue.
I have yet to play it, so my opinion won't matter.

I've seen worse with 40k related materials, and I'm not talking about the DoW 40k related things

Kotor was an epic adventure but the swoop racing was not that fun for me. To be honest all of the kotor mini games were kind of shabby. Seems like Bioware has a problem developing great mini games and vehicle play.
In all honesty the Mako vehicle in ME1 wasn't epic because it didn't make sense to me. Beyond the horrible controls it just didn't make sense that joker would drop me miles and miles away from my target even on a non hostile world. Visiting reskined planets and reused bases didn't feel epic. I would rather have five well imagined worlds that are Oblivion big than 20 barren worlds.
Personally I think Bioware needs to drop the vehicle all together and focus on longer indepth missions and locations. If I want to drive around I'll buy Forza or Dirt.
The Mako concept isn't actually a bad idea, just that Bioware executed it horribly. Like KoTOR's swoop racing game, not only did it fail to fit in with the core gameplay, and there wasn't much variety in the game experience. 20 barren worlds and all you do is drive and shoot. The Mako (or any vehicle) instead should've had its own set of manipulated stats, upgrades, and modular weapons. The Mako also could've faced extreme environmental hazards instead of just our squad. As a result, it made vehicle gaming underwhelming because they didn't do anything diverse and exciting to it. That doesn't mean vehicles should be thrown away. Instead, they could've done more to it.

Fanboism at its finest, and I thought 40k was the most antagonizing fanbase around.
Not fanboyism, well, at least not really.
I'll acknowledge that Bioware has it's problems, but the constant complaining of free content is really aggrivating.
