There is an upgrade on the last mission.
I thought I saw that, but I thought it was a glitch or something. I see the name but can't find it, But then again I just started that mission

I did enjoy the vehicle a lot and it was very fun to drive. I thought the way you could boost the speed and make it jump really high was a lot of fun. It also controlled great.
My disappointment though is that you can't play it anywhere else outside of the missions. Also there was no checkpoints in the missions if you ended up dying (well that was the case for Mission 5). Another thing I hated was that your characters never spoke and sometimes it seemed really stupid that they were mute.
I would like to see more Hammerhead content though in the future where you could go exploring on different planets and have more freedom to do what you want. Not be on a set linear path to get from Point A to Point B.
In the end though I wasn't disappointed with the DLC but it wasn't the best thing ever either.

I don't see what the fuss is all about. It seems like a fun (Free) little add on to what is arguably one of the greatest games I've ever played. Everyone should of also known that it was really just filler to keep people from getting too impatient before they start releasing DLC that you have to pay for.
TLDR I'ts fun and if you don't like it don't play it

Lol... We have to play it in order to judge it.

I already finish it. And I'm speaking in general terms. In order for someone to judge it, you have to play it, which is in defense against your comment "It's fun and if you don't like it don't play it"

If this was a year ago, I would've been inclined to have faith in BioWare and believe that they were coming out with more HH missions of substance down the line. Unfortunately, ME2 has just been one disappointment after another after another and they've burned way too many bridges for me to remain optimistic. Even if more HH mission packs are announced, I have no reason to believe it won't just be more of the same.
I'm all faith'd out now. I'm officially BioWare agnostic. For the longest time, their name rang synonymous with "quality RPGing" to me, but after all this it's going to take something EPIC if they want to retain my loyalty.

I actually did have fun controlling the Hammerhead, and I feel they've improved the vehicle's movements and button layout (compared to the Mako); it was done much better this time around. However, all that great upgrading kind of goes to waste, since it's implementation involves a few simple missions that can be banged out in less than an hour.
Had they streamlined this vehicle into the actual plot/missions of the game, then this DLC would have been a slam dunk (and worthy of my money, if you ask me). Instead, we're left with a half-assed, poorly injected after-thought.

Haha. Someone brought up swoop racing from Kotor. Thanks for reminding me, that was one of the horrible things about a great game that I forgot.
So do people think it's time for Bioware to drop the vehicle play? They don't seem to do vehicles that well. Maybe they can spend that time making larger, more indepth worlds. I'd rather take a shuttle down to a well designed planet than drive around or swoop race around a barren planet.
i liked swoop racing and thought it was a very fun mini-game. but the standard i hold a mini-game to and the standard i hold an epic space opera to are very different. planetary space exploration was integral to ME1 feeling like an epic odyssey.
i do not think bioware needs to give up on the vehicle section, i think they need to do better research about what their fanbase want. i love bioware but entirely removing vehicle planetary exploration is a big mistake. i hope they figure that out for ME3.
Kotor was an epic adventure but the swoop racing was not that fun for me. To be honest all of the kotor mini games were kind of shabby. Seems like Bioware has a problem developing great mini games and vehicle play.
In all honesty the Mako vehicle in ME1 wasn't epic because it didn't make sense to me. Beyond the horrible controls it just didn't make sense that joker would drop me miles and miles away from my target even on a non hostile world. Visiting reskined planets and reused bases didn't feel epic. I would rather have five well imagined worlds that are Oblivion big than 20 barren worlds.
Personally I think Bioware needs to drop the vehicle all together and focus on longer indepth missions and locations. If I want to drive around I'll buy Forza or Dirt.
The bolded/underlined part is exactly what I have been hoping for. If they would just create a few well designed, unique planets that had a few interesting missions and storylines to go along with it, I think most players would be happy.
Now I wouldn't expect them to be as big as obilivion, but at least big enough to allow you to explore and if they could get a vehicle that would control halfway decent, then it could a big addition to the game (download is borked so still haven't tried hammerhead yet, so can't really comment on that at the moment).

The physics, the jumping, the bumping to a stop, the 0 fall damage, the no meter for health, Shep and crew should all have broken necks from one outing in that a cursed vehicle.
I am sort of happy the missions only lasted me about 4mins.

Lol yea. When you have to escape the Volcano, I exited and looked away for 3 sec then I see the HH on fire then BOOM!

There's also a weird thing at the start of one of the missions that highlights as "M42" or something, but it's just a rock, and doesn't do anything. Dunno what that is.

If you're not going to be posting constructive thoughts then don't post. It has nothing to do with being free.

I forgot to mention that. That was another thing I didn't like about the Hammerhead. In the 5th mission out of nowhere a stupid Geth blew up my vehicle. And another time my Hammerhead was in flames and I didn't even know if you could repair it like you could the Mako in ME1.

That sounds like the Mako.
People should really stop torturing themselves with this game, take it back, trade it in for another rpg and don't worry about buying ME3. That's what I would do if I hated a game.

We're not torturing outselves with the game, we're just stating our opinions with the DLC; What's good with it (nothing except the controlling) and what's not good about it.
