Do I dare ask.... did anyone let Tali get exiled?  If you don't provide the evidence and don't make an effort to make that alluring speech, you let Tali get exiled but still earn her loyalty.  I wonder how this will affect the story in Mass Effect 3, but I hope that it carries over some consequences.

I can't bring myself to let this happen just yet, but for the sake of variety of story progression, I am thinking about letting this happen in my next run.

I fear the burning hatred and grand cause for revenge from Tali fans... :)

I thought about doing it, too, to see what would change in ME3.

But I just wasn't able to...

Yes and I betrayed her, by giving the evidence. My heart cried when I did it and the best part was. I was a paragon. HAHAHAAHHAAAAA! Not towards tali at least. Also she won't be in the last game with that character at least. Stupid migrate fleet and quarians' They just like the volus. They need to be slapped!

Being mean to Tali just makes me feel like a horrible person, I can never bring myself to do it.

In my opinion, there should be no option to clear Tali without presenting the evidence.

Make a hard choice. Either she gets exiled, or you present the evidence that clears her. No rallying the crowd, no yelling at the Admiralty, no easy way out.

It would be interesting to see how that'd work out.

Nope, never did. I like Tali and all, but I don't think I could stomach the "I'm right where I want to be" line. Plus, I can't resist rallying the crowd, Kal'Reegar is too awesome.

In my Paragon playthrough, I cleared her of the charges without handing over the evidence.

In my Renegade playthrough, I handed over the evidence and lost her loyalty.

She sounds extremely depressed when you talk to her on the Normandy after doing that.

You mean exiled and loyal or not exiled and unloyal?
Interesting... that would be a hard choice. But would it make sense - her getting loyal if you ride her into exile?

I found it interesting that Xen gets pretty pissed at you for handing over the evidence, since now they can't continue the research, whereas they can when you keep it a secret.  Plus the huge factions of Quarians breaking away from the fleet out of horror and wanting to make peace with the Geth.  I'm hoping that plot point comes back in the third game.  Not really optimistic, but hoping.

It would be nice to see a dramatic effect in ME3 just for that option alone (and there should be).

but i like yelling at the admiralty board

on my newest playthrough i am totally handing over the evidence, as it is the one thing i have yet to do regarding that mission, despite how much i enjoy yelling at the admiralty board :P

I couldn't even do it with my evil Renegade because her reaction was so jarring. I had to reload and just use renegade persuasion.

If you give the info up, she does not get exiled .. it is not so good for her father though

I may try to find a youtube video of it, but I could never do it myself. I am a Talimancer. Doing that even to check out how it plays out would just feel wrong to me.

I got her exiled once. Kind of neat I guess. I've never turned in the evidence. That's just stupid. Your mission is to have her focused for the upcoming attack on the Collectors. So messing with her head that way is just being an idiot.

I Paragonned my way out of showing the evidence (as a femShep), and I just can't bring myself to be mean to anyone in this game...

haha, same here. Even renegade with the intention of being a badass, I just can't do it when I'm in front of the choices (only when it targets my team). Same thing in Dragon Age.

If you want to be a badass then shout down the Admiralty Board. Turning the evidence in isn't badass, it's dumb.

Mission: recruit Tali and get her focused on the suicide mission.

Useful tip: don't make her hate you.

I did what Tali wanted and didn't turn in the evidence. So yes, she did get exiled and became Tali'Zorah vas Normandy.

Once. Then I stood by Legion (sorry, droolers, but even if it's only a machine, it was right in that matter), so I could get her killed.

And there were two times where I told the truth, even if Tali went nuts.

I don't exactly see why it is a renegade option in the game. This whole incident should have been a sign 'not to mess with AI again, especially not in the middle of the Flotilla'. But noo-noo, being just and telling the truth was the great evil choice. Muhahahaha.

I did on my latest play through. It was pretty interesting actually. She gets pretty disillusioned with the fleet and says if they get themselves blown up by the geth then it's none of her business.

Telling the truth is not always just.  Intentionally worsening whatever relations could even be said to exist between the Quarians and the Geth is also not "right".  Not with the Reaper threat looming on the horizon.

Of course, you already said your motivation was just to get Tali killed, so there's probably no point in arguing about it.

She got exiled on my main playthrough.

It makes for a more interesting story than Shepard saving the day yet again with his silver tongue.
