I'm just praying it isn't a full sequel to either Mass Effect or DAO, you people that want that are nuts and are not thinking properly. You think there were some issues with them this time, all you'd have is rushed out crap games if they announced and released full sequels in the next year.



Dragon Age took 4 plus years to develop, and ME 2 took a solid 27 months, and frankly, both could have used another 6 months or so to be absolutely everything they could have been. Not that they weren't great, but they could have been more. No chance for the quality we expect if a full sequel is announced with any release target in the next year.



I am hoping for an expansion to them though, and considering they both have mystery projects due around Q1 2011, that would be about right to put out a quality expansion around then.



A new IP would be good too, or JE 2, but not as good as a ME 2 expansion.



I just hope to hell it's not some lame crap like a website expanion or integration, or another lackluster handheld game. Not that those things don't have a place and all, but they sure don't deserve a countdown clock that builds up all this tension for all of us.

Seeing as its on this site as well as DA: O, we can only assume its got nothing specifically to do with the two games. Maybe its a new rpg? Similar to Mass Effect and Dragon Age?
It could be an April Fools joke...
I mean who knows? Maybe on the 29th they'll add another countdown directly leading to April 1st. Its possible, isn't it?

Nonsense! It's quite the opposite. They are doing a Dragon Age/Mass Effect crossover game!

The "Dragon Effected Mass Age" starts with a standard N7 mission around a newly discovered planet. Unfortunately the Kodiak sets down in the middle of a Darkspawn incursion. Naturally the Grey Wardens come to the aid of the Spectre and a good 'ol Darkspawn killing time is had by all. Unfortunately things start to go south after you bring the Wardens back to the Normandy to show them what a hot shower is. Morrigan and Jack get into a fight over who is the biggest b*tch and the resulting brawl end up damaging the Eezo core. Without a new source of Eezo the Normandy is stranded in a world without fast food! Of course it turns out that Lyrium is actually Eezo and magic is all just biotics. The rest of the game is just 20 hours of the mining mini-game as you find more Lyrium to fix the Normandy.

I'll put in my vote for the "New Next Gen Game" on BioWare's home page. Considering that the countdown is on the main site, I doubt it will be specific to ME or DA:O. A close-second guess would be some major announcement related to SW:TOR (perhaps a beta program).

I don't think it has anything to do with SW:TOR because the countdown is only on DA/ME sites. And you dob't put a countdown for a closed beta. That would be SO mean.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of that terrible song by Europe.  Maybe Bioware is just going to post the video for that song on Monday just to ****** everyone off.
