I'll repost the following:

Wasn't there the last time I checked but look where it is placed. DEAD
in the Middle of ME2 and DAO related messages. There's not even a hint
that anything else is going on. BioWare just got out of two intensive
development cycles and are placing a VERY HEAVY(understatement of the
century) focus on DLC and sequels for both of those IPs aas they are
developing a new MMO while most of all the other recent MMOs fail.

Keep
dreaming about other sequels for other games and new IPs but the fact
is they won't happen for years to come. Maybe a while after the next DA
game and ME3 and after TOR is out but nowhere in the next couple of
years.

It's called marketing. They want you to buy their products. Would they put non BioWare products on their front page?



It's near a Mass Effect Galaxy advertisement, as well as a "Carrer in BioWare" advertisement as well. Clearly the countdown is about a iPhone sequel, or when new jobs are going to open up.

Ah delusions....keep fantasizing away. Job openings have never had a countdown or even major advertising because they are out looking for the best not to be spammed by every skill-less gamer out there that thinks he is good enough to work on top of the line games. The whole iPhone thing is meaningless.....Galaxy never had any parade and it only costs $1 so I doubt they'd put a countdown to that before a countdown to the Kasumi DLC......which is $7.

BioWare's PR has responded to Joystiq's Ben Gilbert with the following statement: "The announcement is more community focused and won't be a game announcement. Unfortunately we can't share the details with the press."

Chew on that for a while.

And, I never said it was a new game or a new IP. I was just rebuking your ridiculous theory that it couldn't be anything but ME or Dragon Age related "because of how it's placed" on the website.

I seem to remember something about integrating the ME2 and DAO communities beyond the social site a while back.....something to do with the in game features to enhance player interaction within the games other than coop or multiplayer. My memory is really vague at the moment but I remember it was meant to be a huge thing when released. It was just one article and I didn't pay a whole lot of attention because I thought they'd postpone it until DA2 and ME3.

A PR guy already confirmed it's something that has to do with the community and it is deffinitely NOT a new game announcement.

Probably something that integrates the social-site/community more effectively with DA / ME2. Or some new community features for those games (Ladderboards ? Bookmarking friends through the actual games ? inter-game voice-chat (pls no) ?)
