Maybe an alien invasion? Like independence day countdown "Game Over"
Or maybe a bomb! Make sure you're not close to your computer whenever that countdown reaches 0 if you have installed any bioware game.
lulz
Geez, dunno, i only hope it's something interesting and exciting like a new game/sequel, not a DLC or anything like that...
Maybe Jade Empire 2? Mass Effect 3 or Dragon Age 2 (or w/e) news/screens/videos
We can only wait.... only 1 day, 16hrs, 30 minutes
yay!

Due to a glitch in the Omega relay, the Normandy ends up plowing a trench in a field in Ferellden.
Shep and co. jump into the Hammerhead and head off to Dennerim to fight the Arch Deamon, while the Grey Wardens beat off a Collector attack at Red Cliffe.
And there is a Talli / Leliana romance option!!!

ok so the countdown is not for a new games but can we rule out the possble that the coutdown is for a me2 and DAO DLC expansion or new avatar icons for this 2 game
One of the Devs did say it was a community based event and not for a new game. That pretty much zero'd out my excitement, but I'm still interested in what they have to say. Of course, maybe he meant it was a chance for all current community memebers to beta test the Star Wars MMO...

They wouldnt have the resources to do that, and still maintain it on the superior pc.

I really hope the countdown is related in some way to the Mass Effect series :Q
Ditto. Nothing against Bioware's other projects, they're all great, but Mass Effect is in a league of it's own, so more stuff for this universe is always good news.

I mean, really... Pretty much every movie that's ever been made that was based off a video game was TERRIBLE!!!
Do you want to see the horror of a Mass Effect movie directed by Paul W.S. Anderson?
Cause I sure don't...

When you put it like that...
But let's just see how the new Prince of Persia movie will turn out. Then I can give you an honest response

Well. For all movies base of games you are right. But hey.... listen to this.
HALO never went into a movie...because it was too expensive and too risky.
Yet they can make 2, 5 10 minute clips that would come no less short of quality of a great animated of heavily digitize film.
Why cant they make a 120 minute trailer lol and pass it as a movie.
But seriously, they can make amazing trailers....then again halo never had love options, so that is a bull I would not want to tackle if it came down to a movie, who would shepherd be hooking up with in a movie...so lol yeah.

In my opinion, the cinematic quality of Mass Effect is already akin to a movie.
And choice implementation in a movie? I can just imagine how this would turn out:
*Movie*: All for voting Shepard to kill the evil batch of aliens murdering thousands of people, raise your hands.
*Woman with kid in front of me*: But are the REALLY evil, or just misunderstood.
*Me*: Damnit!
Yeah... no thank you.
Mass Effect isn't a movie persay, but its already cinematic quality. Not better, in terms of presentation through a game, but different. And I wanna keep it that way.
