Bioware has really dropped ball lately on these "marketing efforts", Dr Pepper Codes, US Only Contests so on and so forth. This really didnt need a countdown. Save your "Epic Countdowns" for actual game announcements. Jeez (and yes Im european)

All the people can see the countdown. Not all of them allowed to participate.

Guys, please put some BIG US FLAG near the next countdown, so we non-US gnomes (most and best of your fans btw) don't get excited...

kinda weird, considering BioWare is CANADIAN!

Ha. Good point.

Anyway, some of these prizes look pretty tasty, I guess it's just too bad I live on the wrong side of the Atlantic. I thought the stereotype about Canadians was that they're a bit more aware that there's a rest of the world than US Americans? Guess not.

I can't believe all the non-Americans are complaining about not being able to participate in a cheesy promotional gig. I know I won't bother.

Is it a stretch to say that the word "epic" was misused here?

Bioware celebrates its birthdays. with its twitterfriends who are all us citizens and doesn't bother to invite Canada or the rest of the world.

It feels a lot like the cheerleader who invites her cool friends but not her family or her other geeklike friends.

Epic indeed!

U.S. only...

Should have known that once again Europe gets the short end of the stick.

Eligibility. This Contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States

Except New York and Florida! WTF?! Not that I care since I'm in the UK. But still...

I imagine the issue with New York and Forida is that it's gambling per their state laws.

I wonder if the guy who is to blame for this has any idea of what he is doing. Or perhaps he wanted to drive the fans away and secretly works for blizzard? :) I wonder how much they paid for this event - best thing bioware could do for them.

International hype only for it to be US only.
The only epic in this is the fail.

I understand that there are laws that mean that the EU is usually excluded from this type of contest but sheesh nothing at all for us...ouch bioware, just ouch.

would it have been so hard to add the qualifying phrase, "only for those in North America, everyone else **** off"?

Epic community event? maybe should do something then that the whole community could participate in before throwing that kind of words around.

I hope BW suffocated to death from the stink of this "epic" failure.

This was hardly worthy of a countdown... and is not deserving of the "epic" title that you gave it.

Oh come on. They could at least been nice enough to call it "Epic US BioWare Community Event"

So the rest of the world wouldn't have waited for nothing.

Maybe it's a plot to rejuvenate the bioware fanbase. After all what 30 years old man wishes for a Morrigan disaproves tshirt ?
