cheesy promotional gig

Uh, you do realize that maintaining a "community website" is in and of itself promotion with the ultimate goal of selling product, right? You do realize that, right?

Just checkin'.

I retract my previous statement that it looks like fun since Canada is excluded. Love the fact that I could physically drive past the Bioware office today if I chose to and yet not participate in their little online giveaway. *sigh*

lol That is actually hilarious. :o

This was hardly worthy of a countdown... and is not deserving of the "epic" title that you gave it.

I was hoping for some actual game announcements, but some facebook / twitter prize contest for the US only? Wow... you almost couldn't have done anything worse.

Epic indeed!
U.S. only...
Should have known that once again Europe gets the short end of the stick.

Bioware was founded as a Canadian developer.  As a Canadian I got shafted out of this event.  You can think you got the worse end, but to me this is hugely insulting.

I am not happy. Image IPB

I can't believe all the non-Americans are complaining about not being able to participate in a cheesy promotional gig. I know I won't bother.

Is it a stretch to say that the word "epic" was misused here?

I don't understand why are people so surprised. Anything that is called "epic" is practically bound to turn out to be disapointing at best. So yes, the word "epic" is misused here and generally overused nowadays...

Oh dear... Would it have been that difficult to explain that it was a US only event beforehand?

EA poisoned Bioware in all ways we can and can't imagine. And now this event. Only for U.S. Looks like Rest of the World are not buying their games like americans so today they win big piece of s... Just can't believe it, that Bioware did that to us. This is really dissapointing. Next time I buy Bioware game, I think about it again.

Oh come on. They could at least been nice enough to call it "Epic US BioWare Community Event"
So the rest of the world wouldn't have waited for nothing.

Rather "Epic 48 State excluding NY and FL Bioware Community Event"...this whole thing is much ado about nothing...

Great. Hyping the whole world for a fan service only available to citizens of the US. I don't feel dissapointed at all as a European!

No really. I can accept that the Bazaar is only being available to fans who live in the US. That countdown wasn't necessary though. As a matter of fact, I think more people will be dissapointed by its outcome, than there are Yanks who are celebrating the news.

If there is some kind of EU/International rule that prohibits competitions then thats fair enough, but don't lead all your international fans to believe that there is a big event coming and everyone is invited, only to lock the door and ****** through the keyhole directly into their eyes and all down their chin. I am so annoyed.
