Bioware has really dropped ball lately on these "marketing efforts", Dr Pepper Codes, US Only Contests so on and so forth. This really didnt need a countdown. Save your "Epic Countdowns" for actual game announcements. Jeez (and yes Im european)

Well it could be worse, Mass Effect 2 could have sucked and everyone would have been screaming for blood over more than a stupid contest

I´m ****ing serious. They lost me as a fan and as a gamer. I don´t care about the prizes, but, as said before, they are excluding everyone from their celebration.

Ah yes, "the rest of the world". I thought we dismissed that claim.

Epic community = americans

The rest of the world = what, exactly?

Yep, I just realized I'm not part of "the community". Of course I already knew this in the back of my mind, but still, I'm a bit hurt now. And sad. Pay the cash, play the game, but still doesn't count.

Of course I won't erite such nonsense that "I won't but more Bioware stuff" becouse I will. Just a little sad right now.

Oh dear... Would it have been that difficult to explain that it was a US only event beforehand?

Yeah, it's not like it's that hard to sort out people using our info entered or just IP-ranges...Whoever came up with this 'epic' community announcement is an effing d*****bag

I can't believe all the non-Americans are complaining about not being able to participate in a cheesy promotional gig. I know I won't bother.

Is it a stretch to say that the word "epic" was misused here?

I don't understand why are people so surprised. Anything that is called "epic" is practically bound to turn out to be disapointing at best. So yes, the word "epic" is misused here and generally overused nowadays...

No kidding. Nowadays a bowl of frosted flakes is epic.

And for the rest of you...buck up. It aint so bad!

We Americans are still overweight, overtaxed, overworked selfish slobs.

Which is worse? Cannot participate because you live outside of the United States? Or cannot participate because you live in the United States but you live in Florida?

:pinched:

No, they got the "Epic" part right, they just left off the "Fail"

God I wish I could work for EA marketing. Get $ to have your head permanently shoved up your ass. Seriously, lets look at the marketing decisions that have been made by/for Bioware recently:

1. Dragon Age commercials featuring completely unrelated music by Marilyn Manson, et al. "Oh hey, this is HARDCORE, yeah, this will really excite the youth!"

2. Dr. Pepper codes....lol wut.

3. Un-functional cross-game armors w/out the functionality of their in-game equivalents. Nice.

4. ME2 cover art that is absolutely hideous.

someone else feel free to pick up this list and move forward. My nerd rage is giving me a migraine.

I was feeling bad because I'm excluded for being in NY, but it's just insulting that Canada is left out. What a downer. I thought this was going to be for everyone.

hm...5950 tokens and can't use them since I'm not part of this community.

That must be the case...this was to be a COMMUNITY event. Since I can't participate...it must be because I'm not a part of the community....

Ah yes "European fans" we have dismissed their existences.

seriously who came up with this?

I live 3 provinces East of Bioware and I cannot participate with 5750 tokens...

That's a slap in the face comparable to what IW did to MW PC players...

I realize the feeling of exclusion is natural but this whole thing seems a bit silly. Have to go online and put the product code in to register that you own the game then you get credited x number of tokens per game...can't they tell that from when I get online and use the game? Meh, much ado about very little.

Too many threads about this. :P I'll repeat what I said elsewhere: I'm a somewhat disgruntled but indifferent European who is more amazed that this isn't open to Canadians than anything else. I get that Europe is a far off mystery world populated by unicorns and leprichauns but surely Bioware's home country should get a look in? O.o
