Maybe they've two different cool announcements to make (one for each game) and they're making them at the same time.
Maybe it's BBQ Sauce Armour, which works in both games like the Blood Dragon Armour.

For the love of God people, before you go, "April Fool's Joke" how about realize that the countdown doesn't end on April Fool's.
And if it is an April Fool's joke, Bioware needs to remark their calendars.
I've been to Canada before, the calendars are the same, damn it.

Hmm, I didn't hear about that. It seems silly to me though to announce the release date of ME3 so close to the release of the first. I'd expect ME3 to be more than a year away. Also, why would they have the countdown on the DA page too? It's not like the ME3 release has anything to do with DA.
