Hmm...if it's Bioware convention (bio-con), then I hope it's close by so I could visit.
Bioware employees will be thrown for a loop if they meet me in real life. I look nothing like the typical pasty gamer they have in mind when they make their games, yet I am a fan.
Most gamers don't look like that, you're nothing special and they won't be shocked.

I still think it is going to be a ME3 teaser.
Why put it on the DAO web site then?
ME2 might be a good game, but not for me and I don't care about ME3. ME1 / 2 / 3 might be good games, but not my style, but if like them -- good for you and I hope you enjoy them. I am sure that other gamers might have the same feelings as I do.

I know! Mircosoft will take over Bioware and get rename to Mircoware or Biosoft // J/K ( I hope not)
There will be a über-mega fusion that will result on the biggest giant in gaming business:
MICROBIOWEA Games!

Its already stated that it will be an Epic BioWare Community Event
I'm glad I didn't get my hopes up then.
Not that it won't be something cool, but at least my expectations weren't as high as a game announcement.

Well, good for you, but MMO's rake in huge business if done right. I don't see what's wrong with trying to promote it, especially to pre-established BioWare fans.
No. If they're World of Warcraft. Every other MMO is just a massive drain on the Dev's resources. Look at what happened to Tabula Rasa, or Age of Conan.
You are aware that BIOWARE are actually making an MMO aren't you?

In other thoughts, i wish (i can see why they don't but...) that these kind of events would happen somewhere i can get to without spending thousands of pounds in travel and accommodation.

For the 99.99% of us that didn't attend the Warden's Quest, it was kind of lame.

Yeah, and I see it as a massive waste of money. Every MMO fails because its not WOW.
It doesn't matter how good it is, the majority of their target audience are stuck playing that drivel, and would never think of switching to something else.

Actually i think Bioware has a pretty good chance of being one of the first real competitors for WoW in some time.Behindyounow wrote...

1) Just like Blizzard, Bioware has a huge community of dedicated fans (the people who buy Bioware games with the expectation that they'll be good).
And SW:TOR is related to previous best selling Bioware games just like WoW is to Blizzard's Warcraft series.
2) It's Star Wars, a name which has a huge following of gamers - of which many will at least TRY the game for the love of the SW universe.
Now if they can only release it with enough content, an interesting system and few bugs & inbalances they have a shot
