wtf is going on, EA and Bioware of all people cant support games. i buy ps3 DAO and the content like hundreds of other people does not work and they dont even fix this. it should be #1 priority over even making new games right now scamming us players like this and giving us no reason or bother to fix it weeks later wtf man ea need to fix this NOW and pull their finger out their arse with a map because the nerdrage within me is growing at an alarming rate. i want to do this content before anythign else so i can play DAO and this is seriously ... up

Theres posts all over the place about the Shale missing DLC. You can grab it on PSN for £12, thing is though, why should we be made to pay for something we have been given for free and buying the Collectors Edition.

Bizarre thing for me is that as soon as I entered my redemption code ingame, Stone Prisoner disapeared from the downloads. It shows as it should be there when I look at my redemptions on here, I have the Blood Dragon Armour and also the 3 items you get in Collectors but have yet to be able to get Shale.

I called EA tech support last Monday and they fixed the armour and 3 collectors items for me. Left it a few days and Shale still hadnt appeared. Called them back on Thursday and spent a further 40 mins on the phone to the point  where in the end it was apparently moved up to third line support and Bioware to see about getting it resolved. Still yet to have a reply from EA (granted they did manage to help initially), or any resolution from Bioware.

Thing that is bugging me now more than anything else is looking at my phone bill, it cost more than the Shale DLC to call EA the second time.

Think its the old spitting in the wind scenario here, looks like nothing is going to be done about it. Bioware are yet to aknowledge that there is a prob for us PS3 owners, deadline for the free DLC is also running out as the codes have to have been redeemed by April 30th this year

Same what has happened to you happened to me i entered the code then it disapeared off the list. i contacted EA to and they said the code is active on my account so they dont know why i cant download or play it, hopefull this is a good sign for the deadline that they say my code is active on my account so yours should be to

Yeah, it shows on here. All 3 show on here. But when you get ingame its just not there, Wanting to do the Shale DLC soon, hopefully they will get it sorted soon as it has been ongoing for weeks now.



I refuse to buy any of the other DLC that is available for this on the PS3 until this is resolved.



I dont think it is really an EA issue, redeemed codes on other games of theirs and they work fine, this is the first game I have ever had trouble getting the DLC with redemption codes.

It does seem odd this is such a wide spread problem and EA seem to be clueless about it, telling people to reinstall DAO which of course does not work, or delete saves, which of course, does not work...

EA can only go through so much, especially on the consoles. They had me deleting content & patches. Thankfully I had only done my characters origin section when I deleted my save game so nothing lost really (would be a different story now 25 hours into it! ).



I just hope that Bioware get on the ball with this one now that Awakenings is out. It is a large scale issue that no one has a definate fix for. Its great other users trying to help out on the boards and get it sorted but unfortunately this one lies squarely with Bioware.

same thing happened with me. Entered my code, the DLC disappeared. This was about a week and a half ago.

Same here, they told me to delete my save data and game data, which i did and it solved nothing.

anyways to reiterate, i redeemed my Stone Prisoner code which come with the game (this is the first DLC i downloaded BTW), and it didnt do anything, they took my redeem code and Stone Prisoner just simply disappear from DLC menu. redeemed my blood dragon armor and it work perfectly. i also purchased and downloaded warden's keep, which i managed to finish (this is before i realized the problem as i thought that my Stone Prisoner is installed). I have also purchased and download return of Ostagar, which i havent played and downloaded other items such as Embri's many pocket and War Mage Amulet. I didnt realized that Stone Prisoner is not unlocked until this weekend when i tried to purchase the control rod from felix and it just forward me to PSN store. i was confused of this and started to look around the forum only to find other people having the same problem.

What they should do is just give everyone who has this problem a new code, a PS3 store one, at least the PSN store seems to work.

Hmm let me think like a Bioware/EA Board member/Leader... If we make people wait for weeks and weeks without fixing it they will just buy it on the PSN Store... 2 million x £11.99 haha suckers

I don't think EA are actually doing anything about this, there seems to be zero official announcements about it. It must be affecting LOADS of people.

Same thing has happened to me! Bioware must be aware, because in this account it acknowledges that i have redeemed the code and that there have been no downloads yet. If they have that info, surely they can make the link appear in the downloadable content section again.

you know, when content doesn't unlock it's usually because you didn't do it properly.  

did you forget to actually download and install the content? because once you redeem the code, you have to do that in order to access the DLC in game.

Lol, i guess you are not one of the effected, thus you can actually say something like that. We did redeemed the code but once the code is redeemed Stone Prisoner just disappeared from DLC menu. in DLC menu you may find Blood Dragon Armor as probable purchased or downloaded and the same with Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar, but not Stone Prisoner. it's just not there. how can we download it if it's not in option menu. I would very much love your opinion of this. and yes, i have checked my download list on my PS3 and it's not there. Moreover, under my user entitlement, i have Stone Prisoner there. But when i talk to Felix in game to purchase the control rod the game direct me to PSN store and ask for more money for it. although it is under my user entitlement. seriously sir, tell me how to solve this!

I think the issue is with the latest patch.



The codes are timed I believe to run out at the end of April, but I think the patch removed that date and just made them expire immediately. You would still be able to input the code but it doesn't allow the DLC to work.

Wasn't the DLC from DAO originally NOT being transferred into awakenings? This was later changed but maybe there is code in the patch that wasn't corrected and is causing the trouble and removing the DLC, as Shale isn't transferring and his items aren't being imported over to awakenings maybe this is why he disappears.

I've just checked the DLC and The Stone Prisoner has miraculously appeared as purchased - downloading as we speak! Finally!

Well, I finished Dragon Age on Saturday last week, guess its another playthrough now with a different character and choices to try and get the rest of the trophies!



At least its an interesting enough game to warrant a few playthroughs

This sounds interesting, but my Shale code is 'invalid'.  I bought the game yesterday, factory sealed from a UK chain store...  I'm not happy.

If you cant get the code to work give EA tech support a buzz. They added my codes on for me as the same thing happened. At least EA can help with that. You need to give them a call sooner rather than later also as redemption codes run out end of April.



You need to make sure that all your details on here match the account used on your 360/PS3 (email & username), also register your game on here, try adding the codes on here also. See how we all have a white Dragon Age shield under our Avatars, it means we have Euro version of the game.



To do this it is the pop out for my games for the main title and pop out on profile - redeem promo code (list under your pic on homepage). Hope this works for you or it will have to be call to EA

Is there anyway to uninstall a patch after you've already downloaded it? Perhaps doing this, downloading the add-on and then reinstalling the patch will work. Unless they're going to release a patch so that these stupid codes will actually work next time.

You can remove the patch by going to the game data utility, in there you have the main game and the patch as separate files.



Managed to download Stone Prisoner last week, havnt played it though for a few days
