*LATEST UPDATE*

October 20, 2010:

Image IPB

I don't know how I missed this, but I was browsing through the mp3 deals on Amazon, and I spotted this guy, released and I didn't even know it!  Anyway, I think this is the one many of you guys will want to pick up.  Bringing you over 33 minutes of more unreleased music from your favorite game, I'm especially happy about this album because it's giving you some of my favorite tracks I wrote, like "Infiltration" and "The Long Walk" and many others. :)

Pick it up from Amazon, iTunes, or Rhapsody today!  You guys continue to rock!

Hi, everyone, been a while since our last update.  Some of you may recall me asking what some of your favorite tracks were from the game that were omitted/overlooked from the OST.  There was actually a reason for that :)  Today EA releases Mass Effect 2: Atmospheric OST available on Amazon, Rhapsody, and iTunes.

Mass Effect 2: Atmospheric gives you 9 more tracks of nearly 25 additional minutes of in-game music, covering (as the title suggests) some of the more ambient pieces from the game.  Loading screen music? It's in there.  Facial Reconstruction? It's there too.  That one conversation you wouldn't finish just to keep listening to the music? It's in there as well. :)

So head on over and continue to support BioWare and the Wall of Sound team by picking it up today!

"Wait, this is awesome, but aren't there other tracks that STILL aren't included on either OST?" you ask.  The answer is yes, but never give up hope, EA just might have more surprises in store... who knows! ;)

As always, you guys rock!

Friendly bump reminder :)

Today's question: If you could hear a remixed version of any song from Mass Effect 1 or 2 posted at OverClocked ReMix, what would it be and in what style?

http://twitter.com/w...tus/11044255967

For those unfamiliar with OCReMix, it's a site of free unofficial fan arrangements of games from all kinds of platforms from Atari to XBox 360 and all the in-between, covering all kinds of different styles. There's really some pretty amazing stuff on there. No registration required, check 'em out if you have a sec!

That's lamentable. Can that be fixed in the near future?

Thanks! For the first time I'm actually tempted to follow Twitter...

Anyone saw that link: ? !!!SPOILERS!!!

It seems that in-game that cutscene is broken; any chance for a patch, BioWare?

I'm curious about them actually... one question I wish to ask them is...

What influenced the main theme for Mass Effect, Virmire Battle, Suicide Mission, Tali, and Grunt. My favourite tracks, all very rich and epic - yet original. It's incredible work.

So we're shooting for 125 followers today and I'll either post a longer version of the teaser clip from yesterday, or a clip from an entirely new Mass Effect remix :)

Thanks for all your support so far guys, and I know Jack appreciates it as well! :) I'll bug him to start posting here periodically when he has some free time.

Wow, that needs to be fixed! Samara's mucis is easily my favourite companion theme. ^_^

Glad you like it!

Hey everyone, we hit our goal of 125 followers today, so I'm either going to post an extended version of yesterdays teaser ME remix clip, or a clip of an entirely new remix.  Be sure to let us know which your'd rather hear!  You guys rock!

You guys rock. Keep up the good work.

Team up with Two Steps from Hell and make music so epic that not even Michael Bay-like explosions could ruin it.

Thanks for the bump... I like what you guys did with Noveria (though I still prefer the original... probably my favorite ME track besides Secret Labs). Now time to read... :)

From the interview:

the end sequence combat stuff which isn't actually on the OST but I
think turned out really good in game.

Any chance to release those tracks :wizard: ? There are some rips from the game on youtube, but if there are better quality ones... I would rather have those.

Well, I don't think I'm allowed to actually release those without Bio's say-so, but I do have some clips up on my site for demo purposes. Streaming only, but hopefully you can hear a bit of what you're looking for :)

The deal with the soundtrack is that it was edited together very quickly (from like hundreds of individual assets), and I think some of it just got overlooked.

Personally, I'm hoping ME2 gets GotY and maybe they'll do some sort of bonus release for that or something along those lines, that way people can get those extra tracks (maybe even some from ME1!) that we all love to hear, but didn't make it to the separate OSTs. Who knows if they'll bother, but it would be great if they did :)

After listening to Nova Siberia: Noveria again, the thought of a Lorik Qui'in Synthetic Insights Loyalty mission popped into my head:

0:00-0:52 - Between-Battles or Plot Music
0:52-1:11 - Battle Music
1:11-1:50 - Background Music
1:50-2:25 - Boss Music
2:25-Last - Ending Music

As for the other one, it sounds like it could be used for a future mission dealing with a... certain Admiral and her army... (spoilers if I say any more, of course).
