I have been informed that there's an Amazon mp3 deal where if you spend over $8, you get $4 in credit free? That would mean you can buy the full ME2 OST and get ME2: Atmospheric for free!

Can anyone confirm this?

Oh man I still need to buy this amazing soundtrack, and now you release another one with more tracks on!? Jeez, my wallet can't take all the awesome.

I wish they were released on CD's though. I'm not too fond of digital downloads, and I'd like a CD to go along with my ME1 OST CD. I also would love all the club music on a CD. If there was an announcement for something like a CD pack with all the tracks on, I'd love to buy that :D. But I guess I'll have to settle with the digital downloads... a tad annoying that they cost double the US price here in the UK ($11 in US for main OST, £14 here in UK. $11 = £7. Atmosphere $4 in US, £7 in UK. £7 = $10!), but oh well. I guess the brilliant music you lot composed makes it worth it though :D. I'm gonna wait and see if it's released on CD eventually first though... or if a pack comes out with all the unreleased tracks on (I'm dying for Club Eternity).

Why wasn't M4 Part II included in ME2? That was surprising after its overwhelmingly positive reception at the end of ME1.

Amazon won't accept my money because they're apparently a bunch of USA fanatics, and I refuse to install an Apple program. Under any circumstances. Ever. Now what? You're not making this whole legal music thing very easy.

Edit: Rhapsody too.

U.S. Only
We're sorry, we have detected that you are outside of the United States. The Rhapsody MP3 Store is currently only available inside the United States.

Not sure what to tell you, that's no good for sure :(

I thought Amazon had separate links for non-North American customers? Also, someone said it's on the Zune Marketplace. I've never used that before, so I don't know if there's any restrictions or not, but maybe that will work?

Hey, that 8-bit remix is really cool. I like it.

Also good to see you got facial reconstruction and the krogan themes in there. Those were my fav ambients in ME2.

That's odd, I just replied and my response is totally not there...  Puzzling.

Anyway, has anyone tried the Amazon.co.uk link?  I don't know how the zoning thing works or what restrictions Amazon has for other countries, but that is definitely pretty lame if non-US countries can't get a copy. :(

I wish I could be more helpful :-\\

I like how they want me to pay for music I could just extract from the game files myself.

The only way I'd ever consider paying for this OST is if they'd release a hard copy in a jewel case, with a nice booklet and everything.

I find it hard to pay for 'digital releases', when I can just get the same amount of enjoyment from youtubbing it. Having a hard copy is different though. it's nice, and something for the collection. I wish they had my kind of customers more in mind

Just do some reading before, Ok?:

I wish there were physical editions of the CD available, but ultimately I believe it was EARS (EA Recordings) that made the call.  My guess for their decision would be that there's no physical production costs for digital music, plus nobody carries around CD players anymore because of phones and mp3 players.  Even cars have aux inputs for iPods etc which makes more sense than changing out a disc continually.  In a way, I suppose it's similar to physical photos vs. digital ones.  There are always going to be times where it's nice to have something to physically hold, but technology is simply moving away from it.  Me, I haven't bought a physical CD in a long time, I just don't have the space on my shelf anymore, and even if I did, I'm just too lazy to want to get up and change out a CD everytime I want to hear something new :)

But anyway, that being said, this being the first major game OST I was involved in, I can definitely say that I wish like many of you that I could have a physical copy to put my hands on, but it's probably just not going to happen.  But I hope that won't stop you guys from buying the soundtrack and continuing to support the series!

To Future: the collector's ed came with a limited digital version of the original OST.  Since I myself bought a collectors ed I also wish I'd received a physical disc, and I'm not exactly sure why they didn't release the full OST with it, but I imagine that it probably would have affected sales of the separate OST.

Hope that sheds some light on a couple of those questions/comments.  Thanks for your continued support of the Wall of Sound team, everyone.  It really means a lot to read so many of the kind comments you have all left us about the game's music!

Too bad I don't live in the United States... and too bad that I don't care much either way.  EULAs are by and large illegal and/or overruled by the laws of the land, so whatever's claimed in there doesn't really matter - not to mention the fact that one often only gets to see the EULA after purchasing, not before, and thus it isn't a valid and legally contract to begin with.

Ideologically speaking, I can make backup copies of a game for my own use and convenience, and I will.  I don't pirate anything anymore these days, and I respect the work that game developers do, but I think it's ludicrous to ask people to pay for music they have in one format but not another.

Groovy, I found the amazon link thing, if you buy a CD over $7.99 (ME2 OST) you get $4 promotional code (ME2: Atmospheric) :)  So, 2.5 hours or music for $8.  Not too shabby!

Now, if we could just get the music from Lair of the Shadow Broker. That whole part of the score from the time you discover who tried to assassinate Liara until you catch that person is just epic.

Hey guys, I totally missed the official release, but as I was browsing the deals on Amazon today, I realized that the ME2: Combat OST tracks have been released. This one has some really cool combat/action oriented themes in it, and will make a great addition to your ME2 music collection. Thanks so much for all the support and kind words you have all thrown Jack Wall, Sam Hulick, David Kates, Brian DiDomenico, and myself for our work on this game. It really means a lot to each of us :)

All links and info in the original post.

Thank you for all of the info.!

I really have been waiting for this Combat soundtrack, and the music (along with the rest of the music in the Mass Effect series) is just amazing! Other composers and editors should listen and learn from all of this- I couldn't imagine the Mass Effect universe sounding any other way, and it keeps getting better and better.

Thank you and thanks to everyone who brought us all of these awesome soundtracks!

The series of Mass Effect 2 soundtracks is complete, but maybe there will be a Mass Effect 2 DLC soundtrack in the future! That would be awesome, too, of course!!

For now though, I can't believe how lucky we are to have all of this music! Thanks again.

Just noticed you guys released the Atmospheric soundtrack on Spotify! Now I have an even larger music collection (huzzah :D). Any chance that the Combat CD will make it on too?

EA is actually in charge of all the soundtrack releases, so I'm not sure. I just post about them once I know they've released them ;) I'd actually never heard of Spotify before. But I imagine if they've put Atmospheric on there, we'll probably see the regular OST and Combat at some point.
