i hate how our choices are only limited to paragon and renegade. either blow up the world, or dont blow up the world. what if i wanted to blow up everything except miranda and wrex and a small little island on noveria where we can raise superhuman babies and wrex i guess just be uncle wrex.

anyways, paragon always means less money. that sucks. renegades always get what they want too. if you want that sweet weapon, steal it or kill for it. paragons have to wait till end game to get that weapon becasue their charm score wont be high enough untill they refuse every stim pack offered from every NPC. renegades are always made to be "cool" renegades. look how they advertised ME2 for example. all these really bad and eveil squadmates to recruit (is tali the only paragon?), all the bad assery that follows those squadmates in just being BAAAADDD.

why cant my paragon be a bad ass? hes just a wussy little ****. jack was right, i sound like a ****.

My Paragon Shepard is just a very nice guy, who is very polite,......even after he blows your head off.

Anyone with eyes and ears knows that Renegade responses/shep = a sadly short tempered, short attention span having, simple minded, oblivious, and for the most part idiotic individual.

I know that sounds biased but its not. Just classic observation. And yes i do implement renegade actions here and there, its just when you look at it Paragon is a considerate THINKER and Renegade is a simple minded Tough guy...NOT that theres anything wrong with that :)

No the paragon choices don't make you look like an idiot. If the council can be saved and Sovereign can also be destroyed then why not do it. The same can be said with the president analogy, if you knew that you could do both then why not. .

The argument is that you don't know that you can do both. You have to be confident enough that the forces you're going to have remaining after the fight to save the Destiny Ascension are enough to kill Sovereign.

That might not be the case.

Yes but it can be done anyways. What if it could have been done but you don't do it? You've condemned humanity's reputation and the council for nothing. However I think it must be obvious that it can be done, otherwise why would BioWare bother with giving us that option and instead just make us choose something else and let the council die. Either way these decisions are annoying, I thought I doomed the galaxy the first time I did. I'm glad it didn't go that way though.

That's metagaming, though. We're discussing it from the point of view of Shepard, who very specifically -doesn't- know that both can be done.

And.. well.. you can't always metagame it - If you recruit Morinth, she spins you a pretty tale about how you've come back from the dead, you've been touched by the protheans, you're the only person in the entire universe she can mate with and she makes it sound convincing.

But if you sleep with her, it's still game over. That's a dialogue choice that -does- end the game.
