I am really disapointed by the Firewalker DLC. There are a couple of reasons why:

1) The Missions are so damn short. None took me longer than 10min max!
2) You choose on every mission 2 Team Members but can only leave the vehicle on 2 missions for max 2min.
3) When you try to land on geometry that you should land on you just fall through it or you fly against invisible walls.
4) Aiming is just silly. You aim at enemy but the rockets fly actually to another enemy. Sometimes they seem to doesn't hit at all
5) Fighting exept for the last mission is boring. Geth with their laser weapons hit you everytime doesn't matter what you do. So the only thing you can do is stay out of their attack range and kill them with your more or less auto aiming rockets. Fighting in the last mission is a bit more fun since you're only fighting rocket drones, you can and have to avoid their rockets. Put them popping out from everywhere and on places you've been before several times is just anoying.
6) You got no health bar or anything like this. The ships just gettin more and more wrecked and a sound is warning you that you're close to destruction. A healthbar would be really nice.
7) In the first mission you get a Tutorial explaining you how to use the ship. But every button they tell you to press is actually wrong. Left Shift for jump and Right Click to Research. I never ever changed the Keybindings of Mass Effect 2. When i checked the control settings it was "E" for jump and "V" for mining what was the researching the tutorial told me about.
8) The DLC end isnt really well made. You get no new missions no character telling you that the firewalker could be usefull later but that there are no new missions currently etc.
9) could continue but i won't :P

Don't get me wrong it was fun for about 1 hour crusin aroung with the firewalker but i'm glad i didn't have to pay for this DLC, i was really disappointed.

Is this up for the PC yet or only xbox? I find xbox live typically is getting the dlc a few hours before PC users.

Din't check the exp sorry I'm already 30. But you get some. If i remember right it was about 150 on the first mission. Didn't even bother to see what it is on the other 4.

And it's available for both XBOX360 and PC. http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php

It being free has nothing to do with it, BioWare needs to hear this so they don't make crappy DLC in the future.

I wasn't expecting much. The gameplay itself is fairly enjoyable, although the rocket spamming feels somewhat pointless. The only problem I have with this pack is the lack of story progression. I was hoping it would in some way add to the story, especially on the fifth mission when you discover the prothean artifact. I thought we'd learn some interesting stuff. Instead you get this pointless email from Cerberus, and no real information. Really disappointing.

Exactly. Just because it's free doesn't give it free reigns to suck

It's more or less a string of N7 missions like the malfunctioning Mechs string. Nothing spectactular. It adds a game mechanic that hopefully can be used as part of more story driven DLC.

The geth AI sucked though. You stay out of sight and pop up, spam some missiles and fall back behind your rock and the enemies dont do anything except stand there and take it.

No achievement on XBox for finishing the string, though you get a souvenir. I wish it made more than a funky sound though. Maybe if Liara sees it something will happen. You get that Bioware, we want Liara to see the trophy from Project FIrewalker.

What also was strange:
In the Volcano mission there is at the place where you start an invisible targetable object what was named M-44 if i remember it right. Didn't fiind out what to do or if i could do something with it.

The best thing in the DLC is the Biotic Damage boost in my eyes :P as i'm playing an Adept ^_^

3) Not much that can be done about that. It's the boundaries of the level.
4) The Rocket Launcher heavy weapon does the same thing
6) I'd like a health bar too
7) When the last patch came out, it said "It is recommended that players reset their keyboard mapping to default
values to ensure proper vehicle control." Not BioWare's fault you didn't read the patch notes.
8) I think they're planning for new DLC that utilities the Hammerhead. Though we'll probably have to pay for it.

I quite enjoyed this DLC, it was a welcome alternative from the usual N7 missions.

Yes, I also noticed the M-44 object. Maybe something the devs forgot to cut.

They keys/flying tutorial kind of screwed me up. I kept trying to do what it said, "right-click" to research. It never occured to me to use the V key (which is the default key to mine). I don't know why they screwed up the key mappings in the tutorial. So I cruised around for about 5 minutes before giving up the mission and abandoned playing the game for today. I can't speak for the rest of this DLC, but the inaccurate key tutorial alone put me off of this game for today.

I like it so far. Its a nice change of pace. Its just a bunch of glorified N7 missions. Perfect for free DLC.

I'm sure this is just the groundwork for BW/EA to release more Hammerhead missions in the future (at cost probably). Saves them the trouble of having to re-code the HH for future vehicle missions.
