Community event - Meh - It's probably US-only event, with a small possibility of EU participation. Oh, and a big sorry-we-don’t-care for the rest of the World.

I personally have nothing against it, but I HAVE something against misleading countdowns. Correct me if I am wrong, but:

a) most of the players thought it to be a game announcement

most of the players don’t give a damn about community events

Conclusion: You should have added this “Countdown to an Epic BioWare Community Event” line right away. A lot less disappointed people, that way -)

Ah but it could be an announcement that leads to a game announcement, if the countdown is to reveal Bioware's plans for a Bioware convention sort of like Blizzards Blizzcon then odds are that they would have to have a big announcement that would draw people to the event.

1) Contests tend to be region-based due to legal issues; it's not a "we don't care" thing.
2) No-one has been mislead by the countdown. It appeared and then they added the event line. It never pretended to be a game announcement.
3) More care about them than you realise.
Conclusion: QQ moar.

I don't think it's TOR related because there is no countdown there, only on the DA, ME and social network site.

It could be a community contest of some sort... Or a way of offering the community to give some input on BioWare's next game; something along those lines.

Thats.... alot of stuff being given away. To americans. Its a BIG community event Bioware but you can only call it epic if it was global.

Edit: i understand there are legal things involved which is why the rest of the world is left out, and its not simply that you hate us But it is disappointing to have hype for something and then find your excluded.
