Nope. March 29th.

It could be that at the end of this countdown timer they reveal another countdown timer that is for 3 days, honestly the countdown timer is too close to april fools so I wouldnt get too exited yet though I must admit I am expecting a new game reveal from Bioware sometime this year, they must be working on other projects than TOR it is just a question of whether they are at the stage where they can be revealed.

As I said I think it is quite likely that Bioware will reveal something big this year as the only major project we know of that is currently under development is TOR. Whether or not this countdown timer will reveal it is still under question but I do think that we will have a big reveal between now and E3.

Surely Bioware has something else up their sleeves it is just a question of whether they are ready to show it.

I see a lot of people are expecting Jade Empire 2, while this is as likely as anything and I would be stoked if it was Jade Empire 2 for all we know it could be a brand new IP.



I for one think it is about time Bioware made a game about Pirates, I think Bioware could probably make a pretty damn good game about pirates.

Nah now that the Star Wars: TOR MMO is in production I doubt Bioware will ever make another single player KoTOR game and instead just create add ons for the MMO.

Black Isle Studios worked on Baldur's Gate: the Black Hound which got cancelled in 2003. It was supposed to be another low-level campaign with hard cap at level 8 like the first game.

I think the reason Bioware didn't release a timer to announce Dragon Age Awakening is because news of the game leaked before Bioware officially announced it.



I think out of all the possibilities, the most probable will be



Announcement of another Dragon Age expansion pack or Dragon Age 2



Announcement of Mass Effect expansion pack. Not Mass Effect 3 though, a little too soon.



Announcement of an entirely new franchise. I think Bioware has said they're working on a new project.

Sounds plausible. Obsidian have been trusted with Neverwinter Nights (2 was excellent IMHO), KotOR and currently Fallout. I think they're working on a Wheel of Time game, though, so I don't know if they have the resources to support a fourth game (Alpha Protocol and New Vegas will need support for some time), possibly even a fifth.
But I'm pretty sure you're right about Atari having the license, though. D&D:O, NWN1+2, Dragonshard, Demon Stone... All the D&D games I have are published by them.

I have no idea. Obsidian only has license to make Icewind Dale games, far as I know. Atari holds the D&D license as a whole though. Maybe them?

Anyway, if it is a Baldur's Gate 3... unlikely as that is, it better *not* continue where Throne of Bhaal left off. That game left us no need for closure. The endings wrapped things up nicely IMO.

After getting a night's sleep and thinking it over some more, I'm going to definitely go with a new franchise or sequel announcement. A counter suggests this will be bigger than an expansion. The cynical side of me expects DLC or something equally lame though. *Please be Jade Empire*
