From my point if view, I felt totally dissapointed with the fact that new spells, talents, etc can only be use on the awakening campaing. I dont really care about romances, but yes, I missed anyway to chat with the team between quests.

but ME2 is 100% based on user feedback which is WHY it was so different from ME 1

You don't read the ME boards much, I take it.

So send me your copy in the mail. I'm sure I'll find someone who'll appreciate it more.

I'm positive they will appreciate it more, especially since they aren't paying a ridiculous sum of money for it.

I don't know what to tell you, get a job? So tired of people crying over 40$, take it to gamestop and get some credit back then. Or go play WoW if you want 4 months of gaming for the cost of a new game.

Gaming is a hobby, not a necessity.

like i said myself, 23$, i started plaing it 2nd time, again as 2h warrior but different companions, and besides gear on char and little cash i deleted every single item from imported character [lvl 21] and started right off the bat on nightmare, at least i dont have ****load sof items, balms etc :)

Next time i might play as rogue and mage, and ofc this time ill make different decisions to finish game differently, so all in all i would easly expect 60-70h from expack, just sucks the story aint longer, i remember the FIRST playthrough in Planescape Torment, BG1 BG2, ID, and THEN it took more time mostly because it was really the start of true rpgs on computer:)

I don't think it was a waste of money but if I knew then what I know now I would have waited for some of the bugs to get addressed and if I could have gotten it for $30 instead of $40. Not sure about the Xbox or PS3 but some of the PC ones have been game killers.

But a total waste of money? No I got a video game and as such, I got what I paid for. I knew going in what it would lack and wasn't expecting more than it delivered.

You know what I find funny more then anything here is that fact that you people are arguing with me over my opinion. None of this feedback is really for you. Let it go

Well you expressed it on a public forum. People have the right to debate, criticise or agree and generally talk about your opinions.

Obviously there are some of us who disagree with you.  I'm very much enjoying Awakening thank you.  As for the price, my net enjoyment of Awakening exceeded my net enjoyment of many games that were either longer, flashier graphics, etc.  Bottom line was you and I both made decisions to purchase something that cost $40.00.  I would pay that again myself and hope Bioware continues to release expansions or stories that extend the original campaign or further the DAO world.
Not trying to say your opinion doesn't count because you didn't like the game, just wanting voice some support and to point out that your experience isn't authoritative for the community at large.
(I will say however that there are some folks on here who have experienced what sound like fairly severe bugs, I did not.  My game has been fine thus far.)

I pretty much echo Carl's words above... the only thing I would add to this is (since it was mentioned in the original post) - I actually enjoy the characters (well two of them) in AWAKENINGS more than I did Origins. Both Nathaniel and Anders are my favorite NPCs. The only one that ranks above them is Alistair (and that's because he had me from the moment he said "Yes, swooping is bad..." (I laughed and laughed and laughed). But swaying Nathaniel to become more friendly and show him that his father was to blame for a lot of things (and not to blame himself) really made me care about the character. He had more depth right off the bat than any of the characters from Origins. And Anders is hilarious (his dialogue) especially once you give him the Kitten.

I've not beat Awakenings yet. But I think I am pretty far along. Considering how much I have played Dragon Age Origins repeatedly (originally got it for X360, but got it on PC later because my wife would watch TV, and I needed my Dragon Age fix!) - I would say I am going to probably disagree with the original poster's thoughts, because I have played Dragon Age and found new things every time with Origins. I am sure the same will happen with Awakening, when I undoubtedly replay it with some of my other characters.

Ovidi already commented - but I want to add that Carl said he isn't disagreeing with you. You're entitled to your opinion, he's stating his as how much he supported it. If you didn't want comments, it probably shouldn't have been posted on a public forum.

I agree with what's-her-face, it was disappointing. This review sums it up pretty well.

Completely. I thought my £31.99 was totally worth it.

That's an excellent review and sums up the game pretty well in my opinion.
I know I have said the same thing in other threads but I do have a strong sense of disappointment in this expansion. I absolutely love playing origins and still am spending time playing it, I find I have no urge to go back to awakenings. I know this is because it lacks the emotional connection for me as a player.

I just loved Nathaniel especially and wish I had the option and opportunity to ask him more questions and even flirt a little with him especially using my orlesian warden. I thought he was such a deep character... I really hope they bring him back. I found Justice very interesting too and Anders was such a sweety pie.

Ahh such a shame to create such lovable characters for us but not give us the chance to know them better..

Hah. Awakenings also costs more than the original Dragon Age Origins. It was going for $35 on steam and retail stores like Walmart and Best Buy a week after release.

That's insane. DA:O is still selling for AUD $99 on all three platforms over here.

This is me never buying Aussie retail again... Oh wait, I don't get a choice. Stupid region limitations... And Microsoft and Sony wonder why we mod consoles... <_<

Then send it in a letter or e-mail. Don't post things on the forums unless you're willing to be proven wrong, dispersions cast upon your parents, forefathers, the legitimacy of your probable progeny, and your nocturnal activities brought into question.

Welcome to the internet, kiddo, here's your copy of Goatse.

It's an expansion not DA2. get over it. Awakening was an awesome game. It's only $40, seriously people. A seriously small amount of money.

Well after finishing Awakenings all I can say is WOW what a waste.

yeah $40 for a 30 hour long epic RPG is such a "waste" you are much better off paying $60 for 5 hour long cover shooter!

How DARE they sell a 30 hour long single player game for $20 cheaper than most $7 hour games!  HOW DARE THEY.

It was such a *waste* that you played it start to finish.

Yeah most real ME1 fans are also RPG fans and were a lil bummed they made it Gears of War w/ a story.

Even Bioware said they are going to put back more RPG elements into ME2.  The "user feedback" they are talking about is the "halo teabagging tards" feedback, the same doucheclowns that post penis pics on XBL Uno:wizard:

I hope Dragon Age 2 cost $100, so we don't have to listen to the poor people complain about it not being good enough because they spent their live savings on it.
