Gaming is a hobby, not a necessity.

NO!  ThEY GOT ROBBED!  BIOWAREZ STOLEZ TEIRH MONEIZ!!!!! BIOWAREZ FORCED DEM TO BUY 30 hour long RPG!!!!

:D

Are you serious?  30 hours?  Is that some kind of joke?  Or are you really as dumb as this post makes you out to be, maybe a development disorder?
This expansion was 40 bucks for at most 20 hours.  Sounds like someone left it running overnight a couple times.

My first time through Origins was 110 hours(4.5 DAYS) ..or thereabouts.  I do not leave my game paused and or on overnight ...hehehe (don't think my computer would let me to be honest)

My first run through Awakening was 23 hours and 57(UNDER 1 DAY) minutes..exactly.   And even then, same as Origins..I didn't find everything, do everything possible..because there were things I accidentally overlooked.

And just because people are more completionist.

First off, I quoted this guys post initially because it was all caps, full of misspellings, and he honestly posted he spent 30 hours in this crapstick expansion.  Now let me explain why I feel you are a bit LD for not feeling a bit ripped off.

110 hours(4.5 DAYS) - 49.99
23 hours and 57(UNDER 1 DAY) - 39.99

DO YOU SEE THE DISCONNECT HERE.

ROFL are you so stupid it took you 110hours to beat a 40 hour game?

See what a troll you are?  YOU spent 110 hours on DAO... many spent FAR less.

DAO was $60 for consoles
$40 for DAO A

I did about 60-70 DAO, 30 DAO A

If you feel "ripped off" it's mostly because you are stupid, the other reason is because you are an angry nerd:wizard:

So he did 110 hours, it took me almost that long and I got a lot out of it, does that make him stupid, or a troll? Does the fact it took you less time make you somehow "better" than him or me? More 1337, perhaps?
You're all the same you people, it just turns into c*ck-waggling contest about who's better.

My first playthrough it felt like I spent 40 hours in Orzammar and the Deep Roads lol (j/k but it was still pretyy long).

But I guess I am a sucker for being a completionist and reading all the dialog text, reading the codex entries, and letting the voice actors do their job (except for the annoying "You really killed all those Abominations you must be in need of supplies" or the even more annoying Bodahn trying to wow you with a cruddy discount). Heck I probably ran into Old Tegrin about 25 times in my first game since I had no idea then what order to do things in an even remotely optimal fashion. The people who did it in 30-40 hours must be psionic.

I have to say, I can really understand the grievances of a lot of people when it comes to DA Awakenings; I enjoyed it but it does seem like an incomplete game. The disappointing part for me waa that although Bioware have extended the story and taken you to a new part of the world, and let you port your own character, they've also taken away some of the key elements that made the Origins so great. Namely, your companions and interaction with them. In Awakenings your interaction with your companions seems perfunctory and it's as if they are only accompanying you to make up the numbers when it comes to beating the snot out of the bad guys.

Adding in a the missing elements from the Origins game and throwing in a few more interesting characters and this would've been more than worth every penny. As it was, I enjoyed it enoughh.

i agree with what you said mate this expanison is missing a few of origins key aspect and yeah the characters do few like their only there to make up the numbers.

as for everyone else who say that the game is a waste of money , its not a complete waste and if you willing to pin the reason that bioware was rushed into making the expansion by ea. and its an expansion its not a full game. the definitition of an expanison is a game where its expand on parts or question not answer in the main game. so with awakening its basically puts you on a path to understand the sitution after the death of the arch-demon. after all you petty much took out the main boss and what can be more powerful than a ancient old god in dragon form.  the next one thats even close in the darkspawn army is the what you get in awakening. so like the ripples before the wave. Awakening is more in tune to a slice of pizza then a full pie so if your expecting a pie for an expansion your saddly wrong.

as for the bugs and issues in awakening EA and/or BioWare shouls of hammer out at least a month worth of bugs from this game and allow dlc to be transported over. we deserve that much for paying 40 bucks.
