Hi,

When I try to regsiter Dragon Age OR Mass Effect 2 on this site I get the error: "Code is not valid for game".

Both games are on PC and patched to the latest version (tough that shouldn't make any difference I guess).

What's the deal?

OS: Win Vista 64-bit

Join the club.

Apparently nobody cares, though.

Quite a cynical remark... What's worse: you are probably right...

Just for the record: I've found that many persons who purchased their copies via steam have this problem. But I have a retail version, with my CD-Keys at the back of the booklet...

I know I sound cynical. It's caused by bitter experience.

Same problem here... I also cannot download any Cerberus Network DLC, and when I try to redeem my code it says it has already been used...

I have the same problem with my retail version of Dragon Age Origins. installed no problem and redeemed my promo code for the golem adventure, but can't register the game, which is anoying since I want to dowload the toolkit but its available only to people who register their game.

Both my copy of Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 2 CE wont register no matter how many times and ways I input the USP code.

I have made several threads about it, but sadly no one seems to care.

This thread has been sitting here for 9 days and NO one from EA or Bio have replied in it despite all the people with the SAME problem, including me. What the hell? This is no way to treat paying customers.

Yep, same problem, just bought game, and I get an 'invalid code" message when I use the code on the back of the game manual.  I have submitted the problem to Support, but haven't gotten an answer yet.

Like I said, nobody cares. I also emailed support, and nobody responded. Not ever.

But then, silly me, expecting anyone official to care They already HAVE my money.

And exactly what does the subtitle in here tell you about who handles support?  There is no direct, official Bioware Tech Support.  It doesn't exist as a department.

"This forum is for fans and owners of Mass Effect 2 on the PC to assist
each other with technical questions. Official game support is provided
by Electronic Arts, but fans are encouraged to try to assist each other
here. "

The DLCs are working for me, even if I can't register my games here, too.
If you got Windows7 like me, just start Dragon Age as an Administrator (everytime you wanna use them, so set it to 'Automatically logIn as an Admin' or something like that), so now your in the game and login your account and put in the DLC-Code.
It should work.
If not, use your manual and search for the telephone number of EA-support.

edit: the EA-support helped me with the "can't use the DLCs-problems", but had no knowledge of this 'Bioware SocialNetwork'-site.

So who's helping us, when even the huge publisher EA can't do a thing and no BW SN-Admin is stopping by?

More information about the "can't register games" problem:

- I started the BWSocialCommunity-account before DragonAge has been released.
- All games are registered in my EA-Account.
- DLCs (in ME2 and DA:O) are working for me.
- Cerberus is working, DA:O is updating the achievements on this profile - all fine.
- got the Retail-version ..hope its the right name of a product of buying a game in a regular electronic shop.
- entered the installation-keys during the installation, logged in e.g. DragonAge with this Account and put in the working DLC-code

So everything is working.
But i can't register my games here. something like "Code is not valid for game" appears (in my german language) when I'm trying to put in the using code on this SocialNetwork-site.

I've wrote an private message to Chris Priestly (the author of the thread 'Known issues and activating account information' ) to send us an admin. EA can't help, no admin helps, so there's no other option.
