Having read "The Stolen Throne", it is confirmed that Teagan was 8 and Eamon was 15 during the events of the book, which ended right as the Dragon Age began (so around Dragon 9:00). Origins takes place at Dragon 9:30, so Teagan would be around 38 and Eamon 45-ish.

Aha. Thank you.

Makes me wonder why they made Eamon look so old in game though. Most people don't get that much grey until they're about 50-60.

It may be that Jowan's poison / the demon's influence had something to do with that...

Actually I started graying early in life (In my 20s), I looked like that at about 35.  Now I am almost completely white at 48.  Anyone remember Lorne Greene ? from Bonanza.  He was white haired early too started going white in his 20s. Oddly my face is at odds with this and I look in my mid thirties.  What can I say, I'm a mutant Image IPB i have very very pale skin, don't drink, don't smoke and don't get much sun.  I think that has a lot to do with it too.

Yeah I was confuzzled. When I was first playing the game, I was expecting Eamon to look alot like Teagan except holder.

Instead we got the medieval Santa Clause. The first time I saw him I was like "Who is that? Is this a joke? He could be somebody grandpa! How does Isolde deal with this?"

From looking at them I'd say Eamon was around 50-55, and Teagan around 35-40.

I didn't mean that it was impossible. Just most people don't start greying that early on. At least not to that extent.

But then, women don't start to grey in my family until they hit about 40. And even then, it's only the occasional grey hair.

Genetics are strange.

Im just curious because Loghain was around 60 at the end of Origins so if he became a Grey Warden and went on his calling he would be around 90. This is wierd because most 90 year old men I know can't even stand up straight, let alone wear heavy armor and lift a sword.

dang you're lucky. My mom went gray early. I can't even blame these hairs on my youngest as I was mostly gray by the time she was born *sigh*

I think they said he wouldn't be a GW for very long (a few years maybe, not 30 anyway when he does his Calling)

I think Eamon is around...45 years old actually. He just grayed REALLY bad, and has aged REALLY bad.

Because he was sent off with Teagan to the north during the rebellion against Orlais. And I think Maric brought Eamon and Teagan back when Eamon was like 15. And Teagan was like...8 or something.

I had no idea Teagan was this popular. I thought Cailan and Vaughn would be the female favorites.

MMMM Riordan I like his accent!Image IPB  But Bann Sexy...yea Teagan has a huge devoted following.  Cailan...was cute like a puppy dog (SO not sexy to me)

Damn I completely derailed this Duncan thread...Blame it on him for being such a "stodgy priest" as Cailan would say.  If he was more open to flirtation it wouldn't have happened!

Cailan? Really? Unless you do RtO he just comes off as so unbelievably inept and you get the chance to call him a fool twice (one of those times is when you're talking to Duncan so this is on topicImage IPB) whereas Teagan held Redcliffe together, owned Loghain, AND put up with Isolde on a regular basis. Not to mention the very nice but sadly dropped flirting...

Women like a man who will stand up for them.  When you see him tell off Logain, ther is no doubt that he would kick anyone's ass that messed with you.

Cailan is too prissy

Well I remember the first time I saw Cailan I thought "wow, what a pretty man (no ******)."  He's got a heroic streak and he's a king!  What else is there?

I thought the gamer gurls would be all over him.

Well I can't speak for other ladies only myself but Cailan seems too much like a little boy playing with Army men.  (In this respect I DO agree with Loghain that Cailan was a child playing at war)

Teagan on the other hand doesn't take any crap off anyone regardless of WHO they are.  And he does it with such easy grace and style.  (I love that over the shoulder comment he makes to Anora "Did he also do what was best for your husband, Your Majesty?") Oh man I could go on for 5 pages more on Teagan love here!  If I knew how to post a signature line it would be "The Bannorn will not bow to you simply because you demand it!"  Or maybe that line he says to flirt with a mage...Image IPB

He has kind of a bad boy rebel thing combined with charm and easy going panache and a step up to the plate sense of responsibility...its hard for me to put into words.  Its a TEAGAN thing...Image IPB

See, he's why even on my human-hating playthroughs I just can't abandon Redcliffe. I tried once but he was just so distraught...I had to go back and save it. On the other hand, Isolde's 'oh nothing matters but getting you to the castle' approach came off as even more callous when everyone else was dead. Had I continued that playthrough, she was SO going to sacrifice herself. How did she think that Teagan was going to help her possessed son again? I mean, unless she was relying on 'sheer aweseomeness' to do the trick...in which case maybe we just needed to give him more time? Sheer awesomeness seemed to hold Connor off for those two days it took for a round trip to the Circle Tower.

*Shudders* that whole sequence reminded me of the Billy Mumy Twilight zone episode with the 6 year old who had godlike powers and sent people who pissed him off to "the corn field"

I was browsing through the conversation trees earlier today, and I came across a very interesting exchange between the Human Noble Female and Duncan. This is immediately after the first dialogue, if you choose to speak to Duncan before leaving the room. In parenthesis are voiceover notes provided in the toolset:

Duncan: I'm sorry, but I believe your father wishes to talk to me and the arl alone. (polite; arl = lord)
PC: May we speak later?
Duncan: Your father has left you in charge of the castle? Then I will see you at dinner tomorrow, if not sooner. (polite chit-chat)
PC: I would prefer sooner.
Duncan: Then let us meet in the morning. I will seek you out before Ser Gilmore's testing. Will that be sufficient? (polite chit-chat; ser = sir)
PC: What about tonight... in my room? (IF PC IS FEMALE)
Duncan: I-I appreciate your enthusiasm, but it would be inappropriate for me to be in your quarters unescorted. (flustered, but a little amused)

LOLOL YOU PROPOSITION DUNCAN. I am so very amused. 8'D So tempted to replay the Human Noble origin just to watch this scene play out.

In front of your father and Arl Howe, no less. Hilarious. I can imagine their jaws dropping. Unless this is something the HN does so often that no one takes any notice of it anymore, of course.

..Omg, I completely forgot that it was infront of them.

They should so have freak out reactions, and then the NPC can get responses like. "I was only joking."

Speaking of funny reactions. Telling Dairren that your favorite book is the sex one banned by the Chantry is hilarious.

Yes! I love that line.

I can so see my one HNF telling him that just to see the look on his face. Then being like "Oh, you didn't think I was serious, did you? ~giggles and bounces off~"

I love making flighty immature characters for Origins. :P

LMAO! I completely forgot about it too! I wish they could've snuck in some sort of reaction from either of them. That would've been hilarious. x'D
