Who else killed the High Dragon? she was fun, aye she was. could kill my PC (36 armor) in 2 jawgrabs. good armor from her scales too. HUGE loot list....

I did it! I did it on my 7th try on my X360 (don't have PC version).
My party was PC (Rogue), Alistair, Leiliana, and Wynne. I basically controlled Alistair the entire fight. I had to take the melee weapons away from my PC and Leiliana so they would shoot her instead of running up to her to kill her. And Shield Wall helped a bunch against the knockdowns so I could just concentrate on smashing her. I switched characters like 2 times because I knew that one NPC (Wynne) wouldn't use her potions and would use heals on herself instead when Ala needed it more.

It was an epic fight, and that loot list, wow. The hardest fight in the game (so far), and I only need to do it once for the achievement!
Mind you, I did the fight at level 16 and have done the other treaty places.

ya this was my last one also. it was myself (2handed warrior) leliana who i just classed as a ranger, shale, and morrigan. i went down after a short time (wasnt paying attention and suddenly, bam dead). Had Shale tanking for a bit, decided to switch to dps mode since she was nearly dead and he died almost instantly. funny thing really... Wolf tanked it the last little bit, if i didnt spec ranger i probibly would have lost. 2nd try mind you. i have a way with dragons and you dont know how much i wanted to go along with the occult...

I did it relatively early... Did it on 2nd try (Easy difficulty, though), and it still took around 20 min or more to kill it.

Killed him on my second try on easy. Though it was a real tough one to beat even on that difficulty.
Cant imagine how it would be on hard/Nightmare setting!
I slayed the dragon with 2 tanks (Me - level 13 Soldier, and Alistair) Wynne and Morrigan. Took me about 10-15 minutes of battle to end its life. The death sequence is great to watch (took quite a few screenshots on that!) And the loot was really nice.

It was a fight to remember i tell you that!

Did it this morning on Nightmare, PC version. Groupsetup was lvl 13 Archery Rogue, lvl 12 Alistair, lvl 13 Morrigan, lvl 13 Wynne. Took me like 30 minutes. Only used 3 mana potions for mages and a couple health pots on Alistair. Only had to try 2 times, 1st one ended in 10 seconds when it landed on top my my group and one-shotted everyone else except Alistair. Very entertaining fight, the dragon had plenty of moves and slick animations. Probably the best moment ingame this far.

I did it at lvl 13 on Normal difficulty. Cost me like 14 mana pots though

I am now completely out of mana pots.

A lot of pausing and telling my characters what to do. Went through a ton of health pots the 1st time. 2nd time around I loaded the tank with fire resist and it helps tons. I haven't played on hard or nightmare yet. I also have played on xbox and PC (I like PC version a ton better), but I thought the dragon was harder on the xbox version.

With my own PC and Wynne both as Spirit Healers, along with their other offensive skills, it wasn't bad. Had Alistair and Leliana with, and Leliana did the killing blow for both the fake Andraste and Flemmeth. Easy to brag that I got them both on the first try, but then I need to mention the party was 17th level...

Twice I've done it relatively late in the game. This time I am an female arcane warrior and was the last one standing out of myself, Alistair, and Sten (Wynne was doing her best to keep us alive). So the little badass mage chick with the Spellweaver slew the dragon. Awesome.

using 3 ranged (archers, mages) 1 tank only had to heal my tank

Did it on my second playthough with an Elf Mage PC, Morrigan, Leliana and Shale.

Had Leliana secured away firing Arrows of Slaying, Shale tanking, Morrigan and PC doing AoE.

PC and Morrigan fell, but Leliana kept it pinned and Shale's tanking brought it down.
