Arguable. Have you played FFXIII yet?

You read my mind.  I wanted to smack Vanille at several points, and I'm not anywhere close to being done with the game.

OMG LOL I don't have a PS3 so will probably never get to play it.  That must be a really crappy character if she/he is worse than Velanna

She's incredibly obnoxious.  her favorite thing to say seems to be *Let's run away!*  At least Velanna isn't a total moron...

If you've yet to see horrible characters from Bioware, may I suggest Jade Empire, the worst game made by Bioware by far

This idiotic line has already proven that you've got nothing worth saying about game/character writing quality.

I mean seriously bioware how did you manage to even write such an idiotic character that makes no sense in any way at all

Well
1) in the eyes of a fool, a learned persone is often seens as an idiot.
2) if what we did had to made sense then how come we continue to slaughter each other after two world war?

It is a game, chararater are larger than life, she is just like any kung-fu flick ona "you killed my master" trip.

Well, maybe, but she's the worst if you ARE Dalish.

Why is that? Does she see you as a sell-out? Does she think you have the same 'keep the peace' attitude she left her clan for?

I thought she was incredibly smug, annoying and rude to the Dalish but the worst thing is what you find out in the Epilogue. Lets just say her rage causes more harm than good. Even if you get to her story line and soften her up a bit. (She does do a positive thing but it doesn't erase what she causes IMO) Personally, I saw nothing likable about her at all. Her voice is like nails on a chalk board (to me at least-Shrill Harpy was the perfect description) and it doesn't help that she shows no remorse for what she does to the humans OR to her own people.

I think killing her causes some problems once you go in the mines (not that there aren't a lot already...) but I am not sure. I know you don't have to recruit her but I am not quite sure how that one works out yet.

At the end of the mines you tell her that Seranni is a lost cause and she wants to join the Wardens so she can hunt them down and "save" her sister. You can tell her "you don't deserve to be a GW" and she gets all huffy and leaves.  End of Velanna.   Thing is at the point you can kill her I really didn't have enough reason since this was all a misunderstanding I wanted to give her a chance.  She just killed it the one time I did run with her with her crappy attitude.  Then I wished I HAD killed her.

Since I never recruited her I don't know what happens with her epilogue so if I don't see it, it didn't happen in my reality.

Thats the way I am planning to try next. It will be nice to not have that wretched woman mentioned in the end!
