Seriously though i don't know. They went a bit overboard with the crafting and its impossible to buy good runes anywhere.

Boy I would love it.
Oh and they have to say "ENCHANTMENT!" and grin when asked to enchant your stuff, I'm really starting to miss that.

Also, because some chains are "borked" (meaning there is a missing rune tier), there are some Paragon runes you'll never be able to make, since BTW all Sera will EVER sell you is Novice which you must improve from the ground up.

Ummm, it's not "hard," it's "tedious," and there is a difference, it's the latter I've always suggested.

Which ones are missing? I found that to get all of a chain you had to run around to visit every merchant in the game to find the missing one..

It's physically impossible, as no one in the game sells Barrier Runes, and you'll never find more than one Novice.

The rune craft system, proudly brought to you by the inventors of the planet scanning system in me2 !
Lol! You know what, it's actually not that bad a comparison. It actually took me a while to craft three paragon stout runes for my tank. After that I never crafted another rune. And I never scan more planets than absolutely necessary.

What's also slightly annoying is that you have to leave the keep to craft runes if it is a companion who crafts them. So if you've made a calculation error on how much rune stones etc you were going to buy, you'll have to enter the keep again to buy more stuff from the ambassador and then exit again. Tedious loading screens.
This.
What is it with Bioware and the 'Let's make crafting as inconvenient as humanly possible'? Is it a game designer thing? Do the long winters in Alberta cause this sort of behaviour ("y'know Ferret ever since I went snow blind I've had some time to think. If crafting is fun, then the more time spent crafting must be funner. Let's put everything as far away from each other as possible, eh." "That's some brilliant thinking there, boss. Let's nip off to Tim Horton's for a doughnut, eh? I'll drive.")

Honestly, after realizing the sheer pain it was to go inside, buy components, go outside, make runes, go inside, buy components, and so on, and then factored in how amazingly easy the game is anyway, simply did not bother with them.
Exactly. I mean, the idea of rune crafting was actually pretty fun to be honest, but it feels like they could have put more thought into the execution.

I agree with both of you. I use Ander's right now to allow my main to focus on the new stamina/health skills, and it's a pain having to go outside just to craft a rune, and then the steps. It seems like padding. I mean I can understand when creating the more unique runes needing other runes, but just making the basic runes should maybe only require more buyable and pershaps expensive mats.
Also, there doesn't seem to be enough game time to craft all this. I think that I am very near the end, and Ander's only just now learned to craft Paragon Runes. They shold remove the tier(s) between grandmaster and Paragon.
Then, they should replace the need to craft a lesser run first and instead put some new buyable material in it's place, like different tiers of stone the the run is written on. Next, allow us to take advantage of party memeber crafting abilities within the "camp area". Frankly, i'm still inside the bounds of my keep outside the main hall. I can craft in the middle of a battle field or some Ruins, but once my companion returns to my Living Room, he or she just isn't willing?
