hi

i'm not a modder but i'd like to know if it's possible to create such thing :

i enjoy the feeling of violent combat with blood everywhere but the blood during cutscene give often a ridiculous touch to it

there is already a mod here :

but it's not perfect
the best would be to keep the blood on armor and to wash head-part before cutscene

if you know how to use the toolset to create such result you're welcome to help!

(or if you've got other idea to avoid this psychopat feeling during cutscene )

I support lessening it or removing it completely. Might make the game run better on low end machines. I'll follow this project.

Found that annoying too, i'm not sure why I never actually complained about it!



In the game world, it's cool to be covered in gore. Was neat to be able to get your dog to clean you. But just absurd to see you trying to have a serious conversation in a cutscene covered in blood.



Turning off the gore option completely is too extreme imo and makes combat look rather ridiculous since you'll get blood for a few seconds and while watching it will miraculously vanish.

I know there's a little mod out there for that... Forgot where though... But the mod is on 2 folds... One, it removes it (like the remove gore (don't know why they did it)) and the second is to lesser it... Didn't try it yet but I'm sure it's going to show up as a mod sometime or another...

i just want a more subtil one
gore and violent combat is what i want but without the ridiculous cutscene that follow

a progressive fade away or a localized bloodsplash that avoid head-part seems a better solution for me

but i don't know if it's possible

"Allistair I'm not talking to you until you wipe those guts off your face!" Blood should stay on the face, but the spatteriness of it might be changeable. Make a shader so the blood runs down and smears.

i've just take a look at what have done

Max Tael for his mod Lesser Blood and the structure of it

he change the texture of 3 DDS :

blood3.dds
blood_conj_03.dds
gore_default.dds

gore default looks like this :



i'm not use to modify dds
is it possible that part on the left represent what goes on the head ?
if tha'ts the case to take the default 3 dds and change the left part of gore default should do the tricks no ?
