Alright, I started a dagger vs. swords thread for my rogue, but now I'm curious about weapons for my DW warrior. I haven't created a log of damage per like some have done, but I seem to get a lot out of dual axes. Swords only have a point or 2 difference from axes, and the axes seem to swing much faster, and seem to land more. Just curious if anyone has analyzed this in more depth than I have. As a warrior, I'm running a str/dex/con build.

Axes don't hit any more often than swords, but they do have a 10% greater strength bonus to damage. They also have a lower base damage, and the armour penetration is the same.

My main is actually a DW axe (berserker/champ). I used axes from lv 1 to lv 34 at the end of awakening.
Axe is all about brute strength (put 36 in dex, 50 in awakening) and all the rest in str, nothing else (it's important, the more str you have, the more you'll do dmg with the extra +10% str modifier).
Then spam talents, axes are all about talents, your not playing an auto attacking mementum, you're tearing foes apart >.>, when you go punisher with the guy most of the time you just need to sneeze on him to kill him (when you don't oneshot him that is...).
By the way don't bother with mementum unless all your skills are off (I never used it actually, the mobs died too quickly), just go dual striking (and don't forget to switch it off then on before battles, unless you like the missing bug), swinging with both axes at the same time is like swinging a 2H weapon, and it's basically how you're gonna play (with less stun and more aoe).
