Basically, if you can make it to the Palpatine vs. Mace Windu duel, it definitely improves. The sad part is Hayden Christansen 'looks' the part of Darth Vader. He was completely silent killing the younglings and the trade federation and he did great! It's when he opens his mouth and acts (and I'm using the term in the loosest sense here) that real problems came up.

The biggest flaw is that they never made the connection between Hayden's wimpy Anakin and James Earl Jones' Vader. How the hell did he turn into such a bad ass?

The death of his wife. Vadar wants nothing but the death of Palpatine. That is reflected in the force unleahsed (good story, crappy gameplay)

No I know that, but see holding the transition for so long deprives the viewer of seeing the motus operandi change. And realistically I can only judge Episode 3 on its own merits, not that of a tie-in.

He's so whiny all the way through that when he finally turns into Vader, NOOOOOO aside, we should finally get to see him operate as the bad ass he is but the credits are rolling before we know it.

To be honest, I would have reworked the script so that he changed into Vader before Order 66 went into effect.

Episode 3 was the only good one and that was because of the epic battle between Vadar and Obi.

That, and the dramatic galactic scale slaughter of the Jedi, that was also good, but agree, episode one and two were serious mistakes.

order 66 was very well done, but realy you had to suffer through out the movie to get to the good parts. Episode 1 and 2 where just piles of crap baked over easy and left to dry.

I'm sorry but no, Episode 3 is awful in every way that Episodes 1 and 2 are. It's utterly full of awkward poorly acted scenes, characters you don't care about at all and the story jumps around like a hampster on crack.

Splosions do not make stories great, k? That's not why the original Star Wars and Empire are great, and it's not why those few moments in Jedi where you're not waiting around or hanging out with teddy bears or disgusting looking muppets are either.

Are you trying to tell me that the last part of the movie sucked? Are you kidding me, any star wars fan will tell you thats the only reason why they suffer through the movie. After order 66 the movie is is good.

I'm trying to tell you that the entire movie sucked because it was nothing but a giant pile of sh*t on everything you ever hoped the origins of Darth Vader and the Empire would be.

Not the end, the end was very good, hell I never even watch the first 2 and if I want to see that epic fight between Vadar and Obi, then I pop in Episode 3 and skip to Order 66, only moment to watch on.

This what what Lucas was saying when they where filiming near the end "****, we are almost done the move and we have not turned the guy into Darth Vadar yet!"

If that's the best you can do, then I'd say they're great by that admission. The formation of the Empire was perfect given Palpatine's personality. Vader's origins were lackluster until he starts killing people, admittedly. But most people cite Jar-Jar and acting by Natalie Portman/Christiansen. How does this create an issue with the Empire's creation?

Force
Unleashed, heard rumours that Sam Witwer, the  actor behind the face
and voice of the lead of that game could be in the rumoured TV series
Lucas wants to do. Fingers crossed there's still magic in the franchise
though, not just dust and faded memories...

Dude the magic left when George Lucas fired all the people that challenged him. All hope of anything good coming from camp Lucas vanished after the Prequels and was thoroughly beaten into dust after Indy 4.

All Lucas cares about is selling toys.

Hey look Mr. Tatasciore is trying to kill me in multiple games (DAMN IT I BET I MISSPELLED HIS NAME)

That's the correct spelling, actually.B)

Score, who wants to bet that he'll play another badass Turian that will try and get you killed in ME 3?

Least the books are still good and Force unleashed did a better job then the first 3 episodes did, sadly the gameplay sucked.

These arguments lack substance. Show, from the movies themselves, particularly Episode III, *what* precisely was lacking after Order 66? Since you are much more a Star Wars fan than the rest of us.

A good old fashioned Star Wars debate...

Sure hope the T.V series doesn't suck too, I couldn't bare if that was another bruise on Star Wars's name, they need to make sure it's the best thing ever really, or not bother.

I will say that people often forget that the Original Trilogy was the product of a lot of creative minds coming together. While I think Lucas brought elements to the series that should not be discounted, its true the more creative control he has the worst the product suffers.

Nothing was lacking, hell I tihnk Episode 3 should have start at order 66 since after that it ties episode 4 better.....

Oh god this is an utterly pointless excercise if you think any one of those horrible expanded universe books is even worth so much as wiping your **** on. Good grief.

And no the Force Unleashed didn't do anything good at all, it was God of War in the Star Wars Universe except they couldn't even make it good for the standards of button masher games.

That's actually not a bad idea.

The whole prequels needed a few more rewrites and cutting down on all that unnecessary buildup would have helped.

The point that you are dissing the books make me question if you are a star wars fan. The books where good and well written. Force unleash's story was well writen, the reason why it's overlooked is because the gameplay sucked.

Well none of the clone war books are, the books that deal with the rebel wars, the events after epsiode 6 and the events after KOTOR are good. What I find funny is anything that deals with episode 1,2 or 3 just plain sucks.

Now that would be cool.  They should have a character that will actually get some of your squad members killed (depending on who you bring in your party, randomization ftw).  So it will be more impactful.

Granted the possibilty of this happening is very slim.

I guess you people just totally shut your brains off when you were watching and forgot that Anakin became Darth Vader solely because he was a whiny b*tch.

You do know what STORY is right? You do understand that special effects, explosions and actions sequences are utterly shallow and meaningless without a good story, right?

I guess not.

And M Night comes out.
