SOME of the books were well-written.

Well none of the clone war books are, the books that deal with the rebel wars, the events after epsiode 6 and the events after KOTOR are good. What I find funny is anything that deals with episode 1,2 or 3 just plain sucks.

Hmm, see on this I actually felt exactly the opposite. Most expanded universe in 1,2, and 3 I thought was excellent. Expanded universe in 4, 5, and 6 felt very out of place...Palpatine clones, more Force prophecies, every character getting married, CHEWBACCA DYING. Sorry, that always gets me emotional. = (

*DESPERATELY TRYS TO KEEP TRAIN ON TRACK... FOR ONCE*

So yeah, AR's in ME 2, they felt good compared to AR's in ME 1 didn't they?

I guess you people just totally shut your brains off when you were watching and forgot that Anakin became Darth Vader solely because he was a whiny b*tch.

You do know what STORY is right? You do understand that special effects, explosions and actions sequences are utterly shallow and meaningless without a good story, right?

I guess not.

We probably know it alot better than you do, hence why we asked list anything after Order 66 which sucked. Last I checked, Anakin and Padme were *before* Order 66. Action sequences are all good and dandy when they serve a purpose. Yoda vs. Palpatine served a purpose. Anakin vs. Obi-Wan served a purpose. The Great Jedi Purge served a purpose. Or do you just hate modern special effects on general principle?

Dude the magic left when George Lucas fired all the people that challenged him. All hope of anything good coming from camp Lucas vanished after the Prequels and was thoroughly beaten into dust after Indy 4.

All Lucas cares about is selling toys.

Least the books are still good and Force unleashed did a better job then the first 3 episodes did, sadly the gameplay sucked.

Oh god this is an utterly pointless excercise if you think any one of those horrible expanded universe books is even worth so much as wiping your **** on. Good grief.

And no the Force Unleashed didn't do anything good at all, it was God of War in the Star Wars Universe except they couldn't even make it good for the standards of button masher games.

The point that you are dissing the books make me question if you are a star wars fan. The books where good and well written. Force unleash's story was well writen, the reason why it's overlooked is because the gameplay sucked.

Believe me I would be embarassed to include myself with most Star Wars fans.

These arguments lack substance. Show, from the movies themselves, particularly Episode III, *what* precisely was lacking after Order 66? Since you are much more a Star Wars fan than the rest of us.

Nothing was lacking, hell I tihnk Episode 3 should have start at order 66 since after that it ties episode 4 better.....

Um the reason why I love Order 66 is because of the tone. Also the reason why Anakin changed was because inside he was scared of losing love ones. It had nothing to do with being a baby. He can not stand it when he loses a love one.

It wasn't totally perfect after 66. We got things like Padme losing the Will to Live, the infamous NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! One last shot of Jar-Jar to spit on our faces (CURSE you Lucas) and some awful dialogue between Anakin and Padme.

And that's fine, I can respect that. But most of the sequences following Order 66 were much more visual in nature and ironically felt much more well-done. Watching the camera cut between Anakin cutting down the trade federation and Palpatine seizing power in the Senate I thought was beautiful. Same with the Anakin/Obi-Wan duel. I'm willing to forgive the odd 'mess up' for the last great hour of the movie.

I mean in repeated viewings the movie's fallen apart for me, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy myself the first time.

Get Abram to direct it! It would be epic like Star Trek.

That would be epic.

Of course I doubt you'd see silence in space in any Star Wars movie, I was so overcome with emotion when in Star Trek they'd go into space and it was dead silence, I was like finally Q_Q

Hell, we could still have Yoda's smexy voice. Might be tough to follow up Harrison Ford's act....

but anyhow, about time to hit the sack. Take care all. =)

I thought Star Trek was probably the only time I've really seen silence in space work in an action context. Serenity played with it, but if anything it just reminded me that you can't have it all in silence since we're watching a visual and auditory medium.

Frank Oz is Yoda. Hell I think episode 1,2 and 3 should just be rebooted with a good director and good acting.

Gameplay in ME2 easily trumped ME1 for me. I actually looked forward to the combat rather than dreading and what else did they change?

Well, at least there'd be an entertaining show either way.
