So, there's probably a bunch of these by now, but whatever.

I like some parts of this DLC.

The way minerals are displayed could be improved, or a graphic of some drill coming down and mining the ground for the resource would perfect this aspect. I don't mind it, but it felt... weird having the mineral signified by a glowing circle. It felt out of place. Especially when the objective was research... um... wait, so there's a data pad magically buried in the ground? Uh, dun think so. A little more realism would be appreciated for research vs. mineral distinction as well.

The actual vehicle is great... I think the jump might be overpowered for realism, but... maybe it's a lightweight vehicle? Don't remember anything about that in the codex.

LOVED the final mission in the pack with the return of giant prothean spheres and little geth spheres in the "acid junkyard" mission... The missions themselves felt more of the kind of N7 mission that would've related to the story more than those in the original game itself, and I definitely felt like I was back in the first ME's universe of sidequests again.

What I did NOT like was the inability to quicksave... there's not even a real good explanation for it. Also? The ability to get in and out of the vehicle at will in future missions would be appreciated. I felt too directed, especially during the ice-world mission... there wasn't much time to look around at the somehow beautiful, even if somewhat monotone environment.

Also, for a hover-tank, it felt too easy to be killed. I was under geth prime fire for about three to five seconds... and I blew up. And had to start the mission over. A definite WTF?! moment. But then I realized the other bad thing about the Hammerhead...

You can just hang back a few hundred yards, and since the missiles auto-target, all you have to do is sit back and spam rockets. Not one shot fired at you, and as long as your aim is somewhat near your target, you can kill them even from around corners. Though I didn't notice any splash damage, which should definitely be implemented if it isn't already. Maybe it's just insignificant on hardcore?

So, TL;DR?
Pros:
Manuverable vehicle
Interesting Missions
Stunning Environments
Objectives more entertaining than "shoot everyone you see"

Cons:
Slight unrealism in mining/researching
Jump might be overpowered, so hitting level invisible walls occurs
No quicksave, even during short missions
Unable to free-roam
Combat seems broken

So out of ten, I'd give this DLC a 6. Not super-amazing, and it could use some improvement, but it's a good starting point. I like the environments, but these levels need to be multi-layered, with progressing objectives, and deeper, longer plots. Quicksave would be great, and a little more combat balance to go with it. Maybe for effort I could give it a 7, ^_^

I agree that the mining seemed a little odd to me. Though I loved being able to blow up enemies however quick it was ^.^
