Actually, Kolyat Krios *could* have been a possible squadmate if BioWare didn't give you the option of having him put in jail (even if you killed Jorim Talid yourself).

He'll be stuck in jail for some playthroughs.

Kolyat has a bad case of the ghettoz, where a fatherless poor kid grows up thinking he is hardcore so he go out trying to look cool and kill people like his fabled dad just to fail miserably. This has also been called the Eminem condition.

Thank you!

As for Kolyat, I'll take a sexy emo frogman for ME3.

Sadly Kolyat didn't get his looks
from his father and since I'm shallow, I have no interest in him. His
chin bothers me and his voice makes me want to punch him in the face...I
dunno I just think he's ugly.  The color of his skin is icky too, I
like Thane much much better.

And I probably won't get along with
him after he finds out I've been snogging his father too, damn
stepkids...

I do love his name though, I'd consider naming my
first kid Kolyat...sounds awesome.

That would mean missing out on a mission/side mission just because you didn't use the neutral option for Thane's loyalty.

Ecael's right. Missing out on a squad mate for an arbitrary reason like that (something not easily foreseeable) is ridiculous.
