What are those for and where can I find them?

They are for controlling the AI of your character and of your party members when you are not directly controlling them. By navigating through the menus of options you can tell your characters to do all sorts of actions based on the current situations - so healing party members when they are injured, or using a particular attack on an enemy when their health drops to a certain level.



You can access the tactics menu by press "\\", or by clicking on the appropriate button on the menu at the top. As you gain levels you seem to unlock more tactics slots, as well as by putting points into the tactics skill.

Oh you mean tactics menu?

The tactics slots are the lines in the tactics menu. Depending on each character's level and combat tactics skills there are more or less of them in the tactics menu.
