How do you collect research in the Firewalker first level? It tells me "Press (Right Mouse) and remain close to the research to collect it." I keep trying this but it doesn't work. I hover on top of the yellow beacon, press right mouse, and the view changes. Nothing else happens. The research bar doesn't budge.

Any tips? I am a real idiot for not being able to figure this out.

also the tutorial says press left shift to jump, nothing happens when i press it

Press V

Use the keys from the keybinding menu

Tutorial is wrong. V is scan, E is jump ,Spacebar is boost.

Or you could just reset the controls once so that they work as intended. It was noted in the 1.01 changelog that this may be necessary.

Good reply -- Since this is the first vehicle I've touched in the game after beating it.. heh,.. I figured out the movement, jumping and such.. but the mining/research I had to look for.

THANK YOU, holy f*ck thank you. What in the HELL is wrong with BioWare that they didn't even have a single person play through the thing before they released it? You'd immediately make that fix, WTF WTF but thanks dude, I just hope more people google search this! I didn't at first, i just thought it was ****ed, i only tried it again now, weeks later.

I tried pressing V but it didn't work. The thing just started drilling into the ground.

you have to keep the key pushed and control your vehicule at the same time to let is stay at the center of the extraction circle as much as possible.

Thanks for the post! Was driving me crazy trying to figure out why right mouse button wouldn't do the trick.
