I adored Dagna. She's more adorable than a box of puppies.

But Sigrun is adorable and kicks major butt on the battlefield. Now, that's better!

Me: can I finally have a female warrior in DA? Just for the sake of variety?
Bioware: FU

Poor guys...lol this made me giggle too. Considering females got the short end of the stick for so long in RPGs its kind of nice to have that turn around.
I liked Mhiari too but sadly it wasn't meant to be.

Exactly, we so deserve a compensation for all those years of neglect.sylvanaerie wrote...

Btw I liked her too, pity how it turned of. Oghren would be much better victim.

I'm a guy and I'm perfectly pleased with the companions we got. They were all more or less ok to me. I tried to stay away from trailers etc, but I'd heard most of the names of the new companions. I kind of like Mhairi as well and I actually reloaded to see if I could change things.
But then I met Sigrun and I forgot (almost) all about Mhairi. In fact, I think Sigrun is one of my favourite DA companions, Origins included. By far the most memorable from Awakening at least. But to be honest, I didn't recruit all of them on my first (and so far only) play through. So I still have to wait to judge Nathaniel and Velanna.

Hmm, the game where they decide to switch things up is also one of the worst rated releases from Bioware thus far... coincidence?!sylvanaerie wrote...

I actually had to stop playing the game for awhile after the joining because of my disappointment.

Actually I was referring to Origins + Awakenings since a female PC is (IMO) more fun to play than male finally. Where did you see some critic rating it worst release from Bioware thus far? Please post a link if you can?

Meh, I actually thought that Mhairi was gonna be a normal permanent companion like the rest. Was really hoping for a sort of Loghain-Cauthrien thing going on with my Cousland PC.

Oh how I've tried to recruit Ser Cauthrien.

Sigrun is ... cute, in her own ways, I admit I too like her voice, & personality.
Yes, I was ticked off to lose the redshirt so soon (nospoilerzone), both because I was losing a warrior, and a human female, but oh well.
