I think its cool that the cutest NPCs in both Origins and Awakenings are dwarven girls

I adored Dagna. She's more adorable than a box of puppies.

I adored Dagna. She's more adorable than two boxes of puppies.

But Sigrun is adorable and kicks major butt on the battlefield. Now, that's better! :D

Mhiari actually was the only character I was looking foward to - so you can guess my facial expressions after the first hour of playing DAA. Image IPB

Its like...
Me: can I finally have a female warrior in DA? Just for the sake of variety?
Bioware: FU

Poor guys...lol this made me giggle too.  Considering females got the short end of the stick for so long in RPGs its kind of nice to have that turn around.

I liked Mhiari too but sadly it wasn't meant to be.

Exactly, we so deserve a compensation for all those years of neglect.

Btw I liked her too, pity how it turned of. Oghren would be much better victim.

I'm a guy and I'm perfectly pleased with the companions we got. They were all more or less ok to me. I tried to stay away from trailers etc, but I'd heard most of the names of the new companions. I kind of like Mhairi as well and I actually reloaded to see if I could change things.

But then I met Sigrun and I forgot (almost) all about Mhairi. In fact, I think Sigrun is one of my favourite DA companions, Origins included. By far the most memorable from Awakening at least. But to be honest, I didn't recruit all of them on my first (and so far only) play through. So I still have to wait to judge Nathaniel and Velanna.

Hmm, the game where they decide to switch things up is also one of the worst rated releases from Bioware thus far... coincidence?! :P

Meh, I actually thought that Mhairi was gonna be a normal permanent companion like the rest. Was really hoping for a sort of Loghain-Cauthrien thing going on with my Cousland PC.

I actually had to stop playing the game for awhile after the joining because of my disappointment.

Actually I was referring to Origins + Awakenings since a female PC is (IMO) more fun to play than male finally.  Where did you see some critic rating it worst release from Bioware thus far?  Please post a link if you can?

Sigrun reminds me of Dagna. Well if Dagna was a killing machine with tattoos!

Oh I was just talking about Awakenings.  Origins wasn't a sausage fest.

Velanna is not bad looking ... about the only problem is that her lower face tattoo almost looks like a beard. I swear the first time I looked at her up close I thought she was a female with some kind of strange facial hair problem. (Maybe something elven females suffer from? In some games, dwarven females have beards. That doesn't seem to be the case for DA dwarves.)

Sigrun is ... cute, in her own ways, I admit I too like her voice, & personality.

Yes, I was ticked off to lose the redshirt so soon (nospoilerzone), both because I was losing a warrior, and a human female, but oh well.

Writing everything except the name kinda makes it a spoiler for anyone that knows anything about the companions before buying the game.:pinched:

On my first run through, I suspected her fate the moment I noticed that the game was not tracking her contribution to party damage, but it was tracking other party members'.

actually a good point... after massive intervention by the mods community that is ;)

Her rack in whatever robe I have her in at the moment is tasty tasty tasty.  She may be a bit "old" in the face, but with her attitude, I just want to constantly punish her... sexually.

I would have liked 1 of the massively fat guys (like Kendrick of the Merchants guild) to be a party member, would be a bit different and he would make an awesome tank
