So Lost Planet 2 is scheduled for release in about 6 weeks and I'm interested. I've got it on pre-order because of the 4 player campaign co-op. That is a big selling point for me. I've downloaded the demo on Xbox and enjoyed the few minutes I played. I probably need to give it a more complete go however.

What I want to know is, was your opinion of the first game that it was awesome, good, ok, lame, terrible, etc.? Please tell me what you liked or didn't like. Are you looking forward to this release? Why or why not?

I liked it, but I don't care much for the second.



My only criticism is that it ran horribly for the PC, but at least it was free.

Well the single player campaign can get pretty annoying since the enemies like to juggle you (knock you down, wait till you get back up and knock you down again) but the final boss fight breaks the game (gameplay completely changes). I played the LP games (Lost Planet plus the expanded Colonies version) mostly for their online play. LP is pretty cheap right now, but then again if you are just going for the single player (no co-op) I'd probably say skip unless you find it really cheap.

Meh. That was my experience. I ended up selling it before I'd finished. Sometimes I regret that decision, but to me it was a little... clinical. I'm not entirely sure why, but I just didn't really care for it.

Yeah the first lost planet sucked pretty hard so I cant see myself picking up a copy of the new one.



Besides I tried the demo and was pretty lame, honestly I wasnt expecting much from it considering how much the first sucked.
