Ok, so I have killed the darkspawn in redcliffe.  So I go through the gate to the castle and kill off the darkspawn. I work my way up the steps.  Then by the gate another mob of darkspawn show up.  Morrigan fire balls and kill all of them.  Now is the problem.  Nothing happens. I cannot get into the castle.  THe two guards just stand there.  I dont know what to do. ANybody have a clue??  THanks for any help!!!!

I am having same issue except this is what i did different. i left denerim with alistair then went to camp took him from pt and took the dwark then i went and killed the high dragon followed by flemmeth then back to denerim to wade to make dragon scale armor. Now here is where i went wrong i think i went to recliff without alistair then killed the mobs in the city thrn went to the castle i killed the 3 waves but then no mobs would come and the guards where just standing in battle pose. So i zoned out then back in they were standing at attention but can not speak to them or go i n castle, after waiting little while to still no more mobs coming so i go back to camp and get alistair i go back to town nothing i go to castle still no change i am officially stuck and would hate to here i have to start over when i have all this time on this char, this is my 2nd char after playing through doa once and awakening. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling just dragon age origins and the dlc but when that was all done my problem was still present so i think this may be a bug that needs to be fixed.

You may find you have left some darkspawn in redcliffe. Go round the whole village and check as sometimes they get stuck behind buildings and don't come to attack you.

Did you kill the Ogre? Sometimes it takes a long time to spawn.



To force the next cutscene, use your NPCs. You can kiss your romantic companion or give a gift that will generate a cutscene.



I've noticed that if I've been playing the game for hours and the time between the mobs of darkspawn is getting longer and longer. I need to turn off my PS3 (not reset), wait abt 20 secs and turn it back on.



If your current save doesn't work after restarting the system, then use a back up save.

I checked redcliff half dozen times now and see no left over darkspawn still no change. I think i did kill the oger and talking to npcs will not force cs, unfortunatly i do not have a back up save I never had need of one before. am trying to do all active quests atm to see if bottleneck is in there somewhere

Were you able to generate an animation with the NPC at the steps of the castle? Simple conversations won't work.

i don't have anything to make a cs with a party member unfortunatly kinda gave them all already except for the dwarf i think but i havent found item for him yet

Somewhere there is a spot where you have to stand, happened once to me but as "GulfWarVet" stated walk around go to the lake enjoy the view. Talk to your party members since you can't give them gifts try ice cream no ice cream try a cone of cold on the strongest one. Don't Panic.

went around redcliff town with aura of pain on around all buildings still nothing map shows no enemys either same with castle outside. i tried walking slowly all over the steps and nothing happens i was able to make a cs with my lover with a cute nugg but still no change in status the game is stuck on that quest
