That'd be my guess too, early to mid 30s. I'd put Miranda at 32 just because she kinda tips off her age during her loyalty mission.

I think it depends on his backround. If he was an earthbound, he could be older, but if he's a spacer or especially a colonist, there is no way he could be older than 35, and even that is a stretch.

Shepard is always born on April 11, 2154 .... no matter what your background is.

It says Miranda was born in 2150 but her relative age is 23 (in the mass effect 2 wiki). The year in mass effect 2 is 2185, so that would make Miranda 35. Why is her relative age 23?

I think that since Miranda was genetically modified it is saying that she has the body (ass) of a 23 year old who does squats 3 times a week in the gym, even though she is 35 and sits on a desk in the Normandy all day.

No offense, dude, but the in game Codex can answer almost everything that relates to the game.

Shepard is chronologically 31 years old, but I don't know, he seems like someone in his late 20s, and do you even count the 2 years he was dead?

there isn't much difference between late 20's and 31. 28-35 is about the peak human age in terms of mental performance, physical performance, and experience although it varies from person to person. Hes basically just a human in his prime.

I wouldn't. He came back better than before. He now has so many cybernetic implants and replacement organs he'll live half again as long as Miranda, who will (barring Suicide Mission ****uppery) live half as long again as a normal human.

Chronologically, 31

Physically, 29

All depends on whether or not you count his two years dead. His body was literally rebuilt from nothing, so I suppose you could say that most of him is less than two years old.

Rebuilt from nothing? What about that big grey thing in the OR?

Can't really say built from nothing. Judging by the skelton they show in the little movie deal for a new game, he was still alrgely intact, just needed little "fillers" here and there.

You forget that she also scoffs donuts when no one else is looking. ;)

I know I would, if I was genetically engineered so that I could get away with it. (and a whole lotta other yummy stuff too)

I want a genetic modification to snarf donuts without getting fat, too! If 31 is what the Codex says, that's how old he is. But I'm not sure humans age as fast anymore-- wasn't there some line in which a character comments that humans are lucky if they make it to 150? Consider, too that back in the 1950s, people in their 30s were considered middle aged. Now we have athletes continuing their careers until they're nearly forty. Shoot, I have a 50 year old neighbour who runs triathlons.

Not that this matters for Shepard, considering his/her lifestyle. Critical Mission Failure.....

Also in the Mass Effect universe humans live longer then we do by some 10-20 years(?), so it would make sense for adults to age more slowly as well and be at peak performance longer.

Actually I wikied it, humans in ME live on average to 150 years... ;)

According to Ascension people in their 40s look like they're in their 20s and humans live up to 150

Shepard was 29 in ME1, but being dead and revived+modified a bit might have shortened/lengthened his life expectancy
